Hey powerhouses, how are the shares doing today? YOUR OPINION IS NEEDED!!!

You know me. I'm spinning and doing and always want to get ahead.

My portfolio currently consists of ETFs, a very small proportion of individual shares and Bitcoin will be added in the future.

I would currently like to park €10,000 to earn good interest on this money and sell it when the Bitcoin price comes down again and then I would like to open the first batch in Bitcoin with €15,000.

There are currently 2 options to choose from:

The only "problem" I have with the Xtracker is Apple's huge 17% share ... and that the top10 insist on 70% can still go well in 2024, of course....

The Nasdaq100 is somewhat more balanced in terms of sentiment....

what do you think?

So parking money traditionally means investing it with low volatility...
Short-term fixed-interest bonds with a higher credit rating.

It's no use if $BTC is down 30% and you want to buy more and the Nasdaq is also down 25%...

@PowerWordChill Again, completely correct... Maybe I'm just bad at printing.... I just want to maximize the return from 2024... Sell at the end of 2024 and then switch to Bitcoin in 2025.... and of course hope that the Bitcoin price comes down a bit by then. or does that sound illogical to you too?

@Testo-Investor You're still new and have a lot of money, which is a combination that usually doesn't work well. New investors in particular still have a lot to learn and that usually happens through pain.
Since you have money, you don't have to speculate.
But if you want to speculate, then it's best to do it with sums that you can cope with losing completely.
And experience shows that most people overestimate their ability to take risks.
It's best to divide the sum by two.
You will almost certainly experience a crash in your investment run that will cost you 40% or more. And as a rule, there will then be no V-shaped recovery, but a good old extended bear market that only makes a new ATH after several years.
That sounds abstract and you think to yourself, I can take it.
What you completely disregard is that it doesn't crash for no reason, imagine you only hear bad news for years. That does things to you.
That's why I advise you to continue with the ETFs.
Take some "FUCK-YOU-MONEY", an amount just big enough that it hurts when it's gone. And gamble with it for all it's worth. Make your mistakes with small money, good investing is BORING!

"Those who have a lot of money can speculate, those who have little money must not speculate, those who have no money must speculate", André Kostolany

@PowerWordChill Those were really very wise words! Thank you very much for that! I will definitely take that to heart in the future!!! Of course I'll have to try things out a bit at the beginning. Yes, it's a lot of fun to play around with a bit of money and I really don't need to speculate, you're absolutely right. Nevertheless, I have now decided to invest €10,000 in the Nasdaq 100 and will follow my plan or my goal in 2024 and see what awaits me. From 2025, I should finally have found myself in order to set myself up a little more solidly and thoughtfully. Thanks again! Really mega that you put so much effort into the text!!!!

@Alpalaka you're always right at the start! I like it! Yeah, fucking chat GPT is too stupid to write Testo Investor :D I understand your approach... I'm only interested in a short-term boost in 2024 to sell at the end of 2024 or beginning of 2025 and shift into Bitcoin.... and I think especially in 2024 the Nasdaq or IT will simply perform stronger... Basically, I completely share your approach!

@Testo-Investor Oh, I didn't realize that you wanted to "park" the money for a short time. Off to the call money account!

What if the ones you mentioned crash in 2024 and you can only invest 8k in Bitcoin instead of 10k?

@Alpalaka Then the ETF is held for the long term, of course :) I would never sell a Nasdaq etc in the red. And logically, I won't invest in Bitcoin either if the strategy doesn't work out.
immagine del profilo
@Testo-Investor Well then into the Nasdaq :)

But don't complain if it goes down 30%
immagine del profilo
@Alpalaka that's what i'm waiting for. then the AMG will be sold and everything will be completely PURE! You know me... I don't talk.... I'll make a post about what I'm currently doing to go completely all-in in 2024... I'm sure some people will find that quite exciting :D

@Testo-Investor oh yes, I'm curious

I would be on Team Nasdaq.

@OKH I'm currently a little more convinced... I'm just bothered by the 18% Apple...

I use the Etf: $WITS. However, not to park money, but for the longer term.

@MrMister also a really cool part! I'll take a closer look at it on the pc! Thank you 👍👍

As a rule, you should hold an ETF for 10 to 15 years. You only seem to want to invest the money for a short time and then put it into Bitcoin. There is a risk that you will get a bad entry point with the ETF and that it will end up hurting you because you only want to invest the money there for a short time.

@Noel You're basically right, of course. Of course, it's speculation that 2024 will be just as brutal as 2023 and I simply believe that. Hence this consideration. It may work out, but it doesn't have to. I'm well aware of the risks, but I still believe that the opportunities massively outweigh the risks in this case and if not, then I'm out of luck. Then I'll just keep holding the Nasdaq... I will never sell in the red.

I had the same consideration a few months ago and opted for $WELL.
It's still young, but with a lot of potential to beat the two ETFs mentioned above.

@RaphGM explain the thing to me... what's the exact difference ... Cheaper, I can see that, but that doesn't bother me. Why should it have more potential? Give it a whirl. I'm open to anything :) TOP 10 : I think 72% is already crass and again apple with 18 % .... puhhhh
immagine del profilo
@Testo-Investor $WELL is global, not US, despite being fairly centered in the US.
In his first year, he has already beaten both $XUTC and $EQQQ.
Nobody can say whether it will continue like this.
immagine del profilo
@RaphGM Yes, I am very positive for 2024.... of course asml holland is in it, SAP etc.... I just don't like this ultra-heavy weighting of MS, APPLE and NV .... The NAS is a bit more balanced. ... But it certainly has potential.
immagine del profilo
@Testo-Investor In the end what is important is not how high the positions are in an ETF, but in your portfolio.
It may well be that Apple makes up over 18% of that ETF, but in the end, if that ETF only weighs 10% of your portfolio, then it may be more acceptable.
Overweighting and overlap analysis only makes sense at the portfolio level, in my opinion.
immagine del profilo
@RaphGM not quite so relevant for me, because I only want to use it as a yield boost in 2024...

Stocks almost always do well on Fridays

Calm before the storm and Monday everything goes back into the cellar :)
immagine del profilo
@Krush82 That is not correct, by the way. Statistically speaking, Monday is the best day of the last 30 years, followed by Wednesday and Tuesday. Friday is the worst performing day of the week after Thursday 😉
All based on the US market

@Nebenbeitrading can be good, but most Fridays feel "green" in the depot. I don't like to judge the rest

Regardless of your plan. "Rotate and make" and investing don't go together unless you want to lose a lot of money. You can't really do anything actively to make your investments perform better. That's kind of the beauty of it. For me, investing is more about calmness and understanding. Good luck to you and perhaps focus your urge to do something more on increasing your income outside of investments.
