But what makes you think that time always beats timing? 8.2% is solid, but not a masterpiece of stock market art.

Congratulations. Very nice to see an old portfolio again 😉 I've been around for 3 years.
8.2 is solid but nothing earth-shattering. I've invested about half of what you've invested and I'm 200k ahead of you. The few percent more over the years are very noticeable.
Siemens Energy then probably sold at the low point? That's painful, but I felt the same way. About 4 years ago.
