Increase with lever

I used yesterday's fall in $IREN (+7.32%) to add to the position I already have in shares. Would have been even cheaper, but that's ok too.

Good luck! I managed to do the same with $HIMS yesterday 😊

I also bought a Hims call this morning. It should also be said that I had one in my portfolio for the last few days and the knockout threshold was reached yesterday. 🤪

@Multibagger My LVMH short is also about to be knocked out 🥲 In any case, I've already learned a little something now

@Iwamoto What exactly have you learned? I hope that for highly volatile stocks you take a smaller lever with a lot of distance to the KO?
profile image
@Multibagger that's exactly what i learned from it 🤣🤣🤣🤣 only 2 levers at hims

@Multibagger oh no, I'm not ready yet. I could seem to be using factor pigs instead of KO... (there you can see how great my ignorance still is.) Here's what I took with me:
I closed some trades too early with a profit and often had positions that were too small. Going short in a bull market entails higher risks. Never trade against the market or the index in which the share is included. Pay much more attention to the ask and bid prices or the spread. Put forward a similar thesis to a long-term investment and weigh up the decision carefully, but stick to it. So, there's still a lot for me to learn, hopefully it won't be as expensive as it has been so far

@Iwamoto If you take this to heart, you're on the right track😉

@Multibagger LVMH is now also knocked out. Over €600 loss with two trades 🥲. But my him trade is currently positive. +30 % UG6L29 (as you can see, the risk was not exactly low)

@Multibagger Of course I don't dare now, I've literally burnt my fingers, but it will probably be a good time to go short on LVMH very soon
profile image
@Shem_sen Are you still holding your Hims bill? How big is your lever? I think mine is 15 times. UG6L29 😎

@Multibagger I've closed many of the good trades far too early in the past. Do you have a patent solution for me to find the exit? I'm currently 65% up with UG6L29. Maybe I could set a stop loss but where would be the appropriate point. What still passes for luck? And where does greed begin?

@Iwamoto Can you place trailing stop loss orders with your broker?

What else do you think $IREN is capable of?

@Horstiiii what period? My entry point for the share is €9. It is among my potential tenbaggers. Then you can work out my expectations 😎😂

@Multibagger This is the way! 🚀

What exactly does the certificate do?

@value_seeker_ if $IREN rises, it rises by a percentage of around 4 times and the same in the event of a loss.
profile image
I put it in my portfolio to watch out of curiosity... what do you think of such products?
1
profile image
@value_seeker_ I only trade between 30-40% of my portfolio with these or similar products.
profile image
@Multibagger 😜 ok ... so sleeping peacefully is not your thing
1
profile image
@value_seeker_ Yes, I sleep very well, but you have to have a bit of experience and be aware of the risk. Then these derivatives can provide an excess return.
profile image
@Multibagger How did you gain your experience? I always ask myself what criteria are used to select leverage, duration, etc.

@value_seeker_ I have learned a lot with big gains and losses. To start with, I would first look at the individual derivative products. I have posted a short series here in the Best of section. You are welcome to take a look and if you have any questions, feel free to ask.
And if you are starting out, invest small sums to get to know the functions and reactions.
In general, you need to be clear about the direction in which you think a share will develop over a certain period of time. Rise, fall or sideways? The choice of derivative depends on this.
