An industrial company with a P/E ratio of 35 to 40 would be way too expensive for me. The AI hype has clearly inflated its value, which, in my opinion, has been priced in far too optimistically. Caterpillar would start to look somewhat interesting to me again at around €350–400.

Caterpillar is a high-quality industrial company with outstanding stock performance—but it is currently trading at a rather high valuation because the market has already priced in much of the AI/data center boom in the energy sector.
Caterpillar has first-rate fundamentals, but is currently trading at a rather high valuation. The forward P/E ratio of around 29–30x is significantly above the sector average and the company’s own historical valuation. For long-term investors, CAT is attractive from a qualitative perspective; for new investors, a pullback or clearer confirmation of margins in the Power & Energy segment would be advisable.

I'm wondering that too... I've heard of Cat, but I've never really looked into it. Now it's supposed to be getting interesting because of the expansion of the data centers. That's what I've heard. Maybe someone can fill me in?
