I believe that Intel still has a chance in the graphics card segment, for example, but Intel has to get out of the crisis now

@Snakeinvest The whole Arc lineup is pure garbage, they have no chance on the consumer GPU market

@Jo_Wolf But Intel still has the cheapest graphics card with 16GB on the market.

@Techaktien You can have even 32 gb of VRAM, if the rest of your card has the processing power of a microwave it won't change a thing

Qualcom took over Intel a long time ago.
Because they are taking more and more of the cake.

@Tenbagger2024 Almost nobody buys notebooks with Qualcomm ARM chips. Much too expensive and cannot emulate many X86 games and software.

@Techaktien
Interesting, good to know.
But some manufacturers are now using Qualcomm chips

I'm sticking with $AMD & $NVDA, would reallocate 👌🤝

In the areas where the money is made - core infrastructure - intel's dominance is still unbroken. That is why intel will not capsize so quickly. Let's assume for a moment that this is the case, who should Intel inherit? AMD? As the only competitor for x86 processors in a world where the vast majority of software is written on x86_64 and a transition to ARM would be unnecessary and expensive?

The dead live longer and as long as Pat Gelsinger remains at the helm, Intel is far from dead. The only serious danger would be that Hock Tan goes on a shopping spree again after having effectively saved VMware and in my opinion Intel is currently preparing itself for exactly this eventuality.

@StrahlemannLP There is more than just death. E.g. further falling share prices in the event of poor quarterly figures
