Trinity Capital is an internally managed business development company founded in 1940. As such, the BDC must distribute 90% of its taxable income to its shareholders in order to maintain its BDC classification.

Trinity Capital has two main focuses in its investment portfolio: It invests primarily in collateralized loans that generate recurring interest income. These investments accounted for 70.4% of Trinity Capital's portfolio as of June 30, 2024.

The focus on secured loans is complemented by investments in asset finance solutions, which accounted for around a quarter of the portfolio (23.3%), while an even smaller percentage of investments (6.3%) were in equities and warrants.

dear $V and $MSCI
@Memo0606 hi and thanks for the suggestions. With my €300 per month and the goal of earning dividends, both papers are still too expensive for me. I already have Visa in focus anyway... for later...but I will also keep an eye on MSCI now 👍

I really like the key figures:

+ EV / Sales (7.67)
+ Gross margin TTM (100%)
+ Rule-of-40 score TTM (88.41%)
+ sales growth TTM (47.85%)
+ PEG TTM (0.11)

The debt ratio does not look particularly good (1.14), but can probably be ignored for a financial services provider ✌🏻
@Anderle hey and thanks for your analysis. May I ask which site/app you used for this? Rule-of-40 was new to me. I had to read up on it first 😉

@Atacama I am registered with "aktien.guide".
However, there is no app version.
I came across the site after reading "Stay cool and collect dividends" by Christian W. Röhl and Werner H. Heussinger ✌🏻
@Anderle thanks :-) I am also registered with Aktien.guide. Nice site 🤩👍.
But since I'm still under €100 a month in dividends, I only use the free version. Otherwise the dividend success is immediately used up again instead of reinvested 😎
