As I see more and more displeasure about companies like $NOVO B (-0,37%) , $PYPL (+0,5%) or the entire software industry, I would like to remind you of the following:
- $INTC (+0,18%) was treated similarly to PayPal for a very long time. Every time they presented figures, they went down a level. Whenever you thought it couldn't go any lower, it went downhill again. People here grumbled, laughed and losses were regularly realized.
- $BATS (+0,38%) and the entire tobacco industry was also demonized and declared dead. Similar to the alcohol industry at the moment. $RI (+0,3%) & Co. were massively punished. I see certain parallels.
- $GOOGL (-5,2%) has always felt like the favorite stock in the community here. Every vote was won. It was always said to be a company for eternity. Suddenly ChatGPT and AI in general came around the corner. Then Alphabet was said to be dead. The share price went downhill, Youtubers warned and also sold off. Here, too, the picture became increasingly bleak and opinions more negative.
What can we say, suddenly things are back on track and Alphabet is popular again.
Conclusion:
Don't be a sheep and don't always run after every herd.
My experience tells me that good companies adapt and move with the times. I don't want to take up the cudgels for the companies mentioned above. Of course, things can always turn out differently and examples can be found for every scenario.
But only buy or sell out of your own conviction and not because everyone around you is doing it.
Above all, be patient. This also applies to both buying and selling. Don't get caught up in panic or fomo.
This behavior cost me a lot of money in the early days and I would like to protect others from this.
