$INTC (-0,09%)

Quite apart from the takeover rumors,

how do you rate the cooperation with $AMD0 ?

For my part, I find the cooperation between Intel and AMD extremely positive, both have their problems and are apparently trying to put their heads together with this cooperation to pull each other out of a somewhat modest situation.

Incidentally, I joined Intel at a price of €18, in case anyone wants to know the background to the question 😅

I'm looking forward to your opinion on this 👍💪⚠️

It's nothing new: Intel VT-d is a further developed licensed product of AMD Pacifica and the 64bit wide memory bus first came from AMD and I would be surprised if it has changed extraorbitantly since the good old Clawhammer times.

Intel and AMD have therefore been working together under license law for years and it was probably the Hammer architecture that saved AMD from insolvency. I mean, they both make x86 CPUs, why shouldn't the only two suppliers of x86 CPUs on the market work together.

@RABINATOR Yes, intel is a darkhorse and in my opinion is preparing for a takeover battle. At least in the sector where the real money is still being made (servers and thus core infrastructure) Intel is still dominant and will continue to be so in my opinion.

Those who run Intel into the ground are mostly also those who believe that an nvidia GPU runs without a CPU...and then Pat Gelsinger is at the helm, who has already turned VMware around. All good reasons to take note of this with a mild smile and take advantage of the low prices. In that sense: You're welcome!

Oh...another story: Multi Core CPUs were first also available from AMD, Intel introduced them after licensing and then also after the Pentium IV and after Itanium was buried, licensed from AMD. And I would be surprised if the technology to house the memory controller in the CPU wasn't also something intel licensed from AMD. All things that saved AMD from going under.
