Kawasaki unveils a Japanese missile with a range of up to 2,500 km as an alternative to the Tomahawk

$7012 (+15,49%)

I remain invested.

Kawasaki Heavy Industries presented progress in the development of a prototype cruise missile at a technology symposium in Japan, which has already been dubbed the "Japanese Tomahawk" by the press.

The project, which was published on the website of the Acquisition, Technology and Logistics Agency (ATLA), aims to test critical technologies for a future national long-range weapon.

The goal is to develop a versatile platform that can employ different types of warheads against sea and ground targets while integrating electronic warfare systems, countermeasures, reconnaissance and special configurations for attacks on fortified structures such as bunkers and command centers. The idea is that the missile serves as the technological basis for a weapon system that can fulfill multiple roles on the modern battlefield.

The system is powered by the KJ-301 turbojet engine, which Kawasaki unveiled at the end of 2024 and which enables a high subsonic speed and an estimated range of 1,500 to 2,500 km - twice as much as the 12SSM-ER currently in service.

Another highlight is the development of integrated software for anti-aircraft missile defense maneuvers, designed to increase the weapon's survivability against short-range maritime defense systems such as Phalanx and AK-630.

Although the prototype is not intended for direct deployment to the Japan Self-Defense Forces, it will serve as a technology demonstrator for a new national cruise missile, the development of which began in late 2024 and is expected to be completed between 2030 and 2033.

@Dividendenopi That will happen, the news was good at eleven. Now they just have to get into the heads of investors.

@Tenbagger2024 It will take a while before the momentum trades subside and more attention is paid to fundamentals again. I am optimistic in the medium term

@Dividendenopi the timing for the project was a few days too early. You're always smarter afterwards

I joined because of your report at the time and have not regretted it so far :-)

@Ash That makes me happy. I'm glad you read it

@Tenbagger2024 I also wanted to thank you again for your recommendation. Normally all my shares only fall as soon as I buy them 😉😃
Stay in or has it already done too well? Have a nice weekend!

@IronEagle
Oh, thank you. I wish you the same. Yes, finding the right entry point is often not easy. But some charts run nicely in a trend channel. It often makes sense to enter at the lower end. Or to take advantage of positive momentum

@Tenbagger2024Good morning. Already +10% again today 👍- should you slowly hedge your profits with an S/L? Has already done very well since your recommendation.

I remain positive about Japan. The new government was confirmed by an overwhelming majority. The government is business-friendly and promotes future technologies. This plays into Kawasaki's hands

If I had more capital, I would invest there too

@Multibagger If you didn't gamble so much, you would have enough capital for serious investments 😂😂😂😉😉😉😉

@Dividendenopi If I didn't do that, I might have a quarter of my current capital.

@Multibagger I know 😇

@Dividendenopi but maybe I'll find a nice derivative of it.😉😂

@Multibagger with the share you are directly invested in several growth sectors.

@Tenbagger2024 with a derivative on it, too 😉😎

@Multibagger However, the Japanese market is also volatile

@Tenbagger2024 och, when I look at $IREN, $ONDS and many other candidates in my portfolio, where even the shares without leverage often make 5-10% a day, Japan can't be any worse. I would rather choose the underlying in €, then I wouldn't be dependent on the Japanese trading hours as well 😂😉

I'm still in it and already up 35%. Unfortunately no follow-through, as there has been no significant fall in the share price recently.

@TradingHase How did you find out about the company? Was the rabbit in Japan?

@Tenbagger2024 No, unfortunately not. But I have had the Japan ETF for a long time and I really liked the idea of the company.

I have a question for you
I set a price alert at Amazon for 160€ which was also reached today but outside of 15:30 to 17:30 I think it was around 10-12 o'clock. They say the spread is lower later, but it would still make sense to buy outside the price times if the alarm goes off in my case and you could get a great price, right? Because now the price is back at around €173
immagine del profilo
@bull_investor_1994_ I don't quite understand right now and I'm on the line. Did the price alert go off? Why didn't you buy? Aren't you buying on the German stock exchange? Dear @Get_Rich_or_Die_Tryin, can you help us?
@Tenbagger2024
Either I have fundamentally misunderstood something or I have no idea.
I always thought you always had to buy between 3:30-5:30 p.m., probably because of the spread.
But the alarm came before this time
@Multibagger Can you help? :)
immagine del profilo
@bull_investor_1994_ I don't understand right now. Amazon is also traded in € on the German stock exchange. You're not tied to the US times.
@Tenbagger2024
Okay, I once read that you should only buy between 15:30-17:30. What exactly does that apply to?
immagine del profilo
@bull_investor_1994_ This primarily affects derivatives on US equities, as issuers do not have sufficient liquidity outside US trading hours to provide adequate prices for more market-oriented stocks. Amazon is not one of them. The only way I can explain the 17:30 is that this is when some of the stock exchanges in Germany close. But that's not interesting because you can also trade the derivatives directly with the issuer, i.e. at least until 22:00
3
@Multibagger means from when to when can/should you trade if you only want to buy shares?
I'm a bit annoyed because my price alert went off at 160€ but due to my misinformation this morning I thought that wasn't a good time
1
immagine del profilo
@bull_investor_1994_ If you are purely interested in the spread, you should look at when the largest trading volume occurs, there are certainly statistics for this
1
immagine del profilo
@bull_investor_1994_ With big players like $Amazon, it doesn't matter at all. You can follow your alarms immediately.
@Tellotellz that's really strange why it always appears at 15:30-17:30.
But I think that probably makes little difference
In other words, if the price is supposedly good, the time of purchase is unimportant.
