Flughäfen in Berlin und Sydney haben den Betrieb eingestellt, während in Großbritannien Zugverbindungen ausfallen. Auch Microsoft ($MSFT) und Amazon ($AMZN) berichten von IT Problemen, die viele ihrer Dienste beeinträchtigen. The Associated Press berichtet zudem auch über Störungen in deren IT Abteilung. Die genaue Ursache der Störungen ist noch unklar, aber es wird vermutet, dass sie durch Crowdstrike ($CRWD) entstanden sind. KLM ($AF ) hat erklärt, dass sie den größten Teil ihres Betriebs aufgrund des Ausfalls einstellen musste. Lufthansa ($LHA) meldet eingeschränkte Funktionalität bei Profil und Buchungsabrufen. Am Flughafen Los Angeles gibt es derzeit kleinere Verzögerungen. Jetstar Japan hat aufgrund von Problemen mit Microsoft Windows einige Flüge gestrichen. Der Flughafen Zürich berichtet von Softwareproblemen, der Betrieb läuft jedoch weiter. Aktien von CrowdStrike ($n/a) fielen im vorbörslichen Handel um über 12%, da viele Windows-Nutzer aufgrund eines CrowdStrike-Updates Abstürze und Blue Screens erlebten. Berichten zufolge hat der Falcon-Sensor von CrowdStrike dazu geführt, dass Hosts Fehlerüberprüfungen und Blue Screen-Fehler zeigten. CrowdStrike hat das Problem anerkannt und erklärt, dass ihre Ingenieurteams aktiv an einer Lösung arbeiten. Euronext hat bekannt gegeben, dass einige Aktienindizes aus Nordamerika derzeit fehlerhafte Werte übertragen. Diese technische Störung betrifft über 40 Indizes, die inkorrekte Werte anzeigen. Euronext hat jedoch bestätigt, dass die korrekten Werte inzwischen wieder gesendet werden. Auch das 911 System in mehreren Bundesstaaten, wie Alaska, Arizona, Indiana, Minnesota, New Hampshire, und Ohio sind von dem Fehler betroffen. Auch der Ambulanz Betrieb in Krankenhäusern in Wien ist betroffen, genauso wie die Einsatzlaptops der Wiener Rettung.

There are currently significant disruptions to computer systemsthat affect both banks as well as airports airports. At the airport Los Angeles there are currently minor delays. Jetstar Japan has canceled some flights due to problems with Microsoft Windows. The Zurich Airport reports software problems, but operations are continuing.

Shares of CrowdStrike ($n/a) fell in pre-market trading by over 12%as many Windows users were unable to access the CrowdStrike update crashes and blue screens due to a CrowdStrike update. According to reports, the Falcon sensor from CrowdStrike was causing hosts to show error checks and blue screen errors. CrowdStrike has acknowledged the issue and stated that their engineering teams are actively working on a solution.

Euronext has announced that some stock indices from North America are currently transmitting incorrect values. This technical fault affects over 40 indiceswhich display incorrect values. However, Euronext has confirmed that the correct values are now being sent again.

Also the 911 system in several states, such as Alaska, Arizona, Indiana, Minnesota, New Hampshire, and Ohio are affected by the error. Ambulance operations in hospitals in Vienna are also affected, as are the emergency laptops of the Vienna Rescue.

That's why they don't deploy on a Friday. The reason is a bug in their kernel. I just read on Hackernews that all US airlines are grounded.

And an update is made every Friday... 🤷‍♂️

@KapriolenCapital Whether the error is "in their kernel" or not doesn't really matter. If it turns out to be true that the problem was triggered by a crowdstrike update $CRWD, then there is a lack of adequate QA processes there. The error itself (in the Microsoft kernel) may be there, but it may have been triggered somewhere else. The Crowdstrike share is reacting accordingly...
