I'm thinking about putting something on the side as an investment for my little one (junior depot style)

Maybe someone has experience and could take a look at....

1. SPARPLAN : $QYLE (-0,52%) DISTRIBUTING ETF ,INVEST DIVIDENDS IN OTHER ETF

2nd savings plan : $QYLE (-0,52%) EXCHANGE ETF AND PUT DIVIDENDS ON CALL MONEY ACCOUNT

3. $ANX (+1,33%) SAVE THERAURESING ETF

THANKS FOR ALL COMMENTS

I have a junior custody account for the boy at ING. Almost all the money he gets goes into an All World and S&P500 ETF. Both distributing for tax purposes. And he also has an Nvidia in his custody account 😬

@Mongoele cool ,thanks

@DB2310 Have you taken a close look at the costs?
@Mongoele Why distributing for tax purposes? Are you trying to pay a lot of taxes?

@Lukas2998 Utilize the child's tax-free allowance
1
@Mongoele the tax-free amount can be better utilized with partial sales.
immagine del profilo
@Lukas2998 Why is that better? I can also make the partial sales if necessary
1
@Mongoele but dividends cannot be taxed. Given the investment horizon, they will probably exceed the tax-free amount.

@Lukas2998 Children have far more than €1000 tax-free
@Mongoele the amount does not change the fact that it can be better managed through partial sales.

@Lukas2998 I don't need to tax anything here for the time being. We currently have a return of well under €1000 and the child is 14 months old. Partial sales also cost money. And with ING it's not €1 like with TR. I can reinvest the distribution virtually for free via a savings plan

LINK THE ETFS PROPERLY SO THAT YOU CAN BE HELPED EASILY AND DON'T SHOUT ABOUT IT!

@DB2310 thanks Boomer

@Renditedichter
How can the ETFs be linked? Is this technically possible?

@Miltos Daniel has already corrected it in his post, just click on the blue links ;)

Boomer?

@DB2310 very good! You got the links right :)
What parameters do you use to select ETFs?
I don't invest in ETFs with a volume of less than 500 million, they should have been on the market for more than 5 years and the TER should ideally be less than 0.2. So I wouldn't invest in your ETFs. Have a look at the Finanzfluss website, they have an ETF search where you can filter for such things or you can look through the articles on ETFs here and get some inspiration.
Basically, you should ask yourself what your goal with the etfs should be (growth, income, global portfolio). So far, I don't see any strategy.
Boomer is an insult for older people (from the boomer generation) who are stupid on the internet, for example ;)

I have a savings plan for our son at $IWDA, and I have one myself at $EXXT
immagine del profilo
@Stickup Where did you make your savings plan?
immagine del profilo
@DB2310 with ING
This can be done in a much more targeted manner through partial sales.

Make sure that you don't exceed any limits if you put it in your son's name (BAföG etc.) - and be aware that the money belongs to him at 18 - no matter how mature he is then...
immagine del profilo
@CryptoPfand If in doubt, invest a few years in fixed-term deposits just before he turns 18... ;-)
But yes, a very valid point. For me, the money would not have been in good hands at the age of 18. But I wouldn't tell my child about his "assets" until he was 18 either. Ideally, you should involve them a few years earlier so that they can see that it's a good thing and that you won't blow the money on the latest iPhone, for example, at 18...

In my opinion, too much USA. More worldwide if necessary
Dividends are basically the same as partial sales. The only disadvantage is that you cannot control it. For example, it can increase and exceed the tax-free amount or be too small to be utilized.

@Lukas2998 The child can earn up to €6060 in investment income in 2024. If it exceeds this amount, it will no longer be covered by family insurance (health insurance). In most cases, it will take some time before a child earns €6,000 in investment income per year. And until then, I have enough time to switch to accumulators so that this does not happen
2
@Mongoele However, taxes have to be paid on the gains when reallocating, so that's not a good idea either.

@Lukas2998 What do you think the average parent has in their children's deposit box? And no, you don't invest grandma's and grandpa's money in Nvidia or anything like that, but handle it with care and caution. There's a big difference between investing your child's money and investing your own

@Johann_van_der_Smut What relevance does the size of the portfolio have here?
And how do you come up with individual shares?
immagine del profilo
@Lukas2998 How much money do you need to invest in a relatively low-risk ETF (e.g. ACWI) to make 6K a year?
Nvidia is an example of a stock that has also been gambled with in recent weeks
@Johann_van_der_Smut I don't know either. But you can roughly calculate that using the dividend yield.
immagine del profilo
@Lukas2998 For the sake of simplicity, assume the ETF makes 6%. Then that's €100,000 that you have to invest. Who do you think has that for their child? These are the very fewest in society and therefore the 6K return per year is totally illusory for most people anyway and your comments on better taxability via partial sales are not relevant here at all. Do you actually have children yourself and have you ever seriously read up on the subject?
@Johann_van_der_Smut Where is the argument? You talked about utilizing the tax-free amount. I merely said that partial sales are better than dividends. And that is independent of the capital invested and the return.
immagine del profilo
@Lukas2998 which is completely irrelevant in this context... 😏
@Johann_van_der_Smut then I don't understand why you started this topic.
