Spring cleaning - The dirt must go 🧹

After being down about 80%, the stock was only worth a little over €300.

Normally I sell shares and shift the money rather in shares that promise me a better performance.

At 300€ it was not worth the "effort" to me so far.

But now as part of spring cleaning, the stock is finally out and the 300€ at least brings me a little interest income in the account.

Let's see when Cathie Wood jumps off 😂

The next share that is on the brink of collapse is BASF. $BAS (+2,39%)

Basf is a bet on the future, never had it and would never buy it. Rising energy prices, the green in government, migration of location abroad. Way too much risk, plus the numbers are not good. Many have bought the stock only because they have bought up the larger investors and the dividend was attractive. A company with a questionable future, at least in Germany.

@MrNiceGuyy In my view, these are precisely the reasons. Above all, BASF's business in Germany actually made a loss on the bottom line. All in all, I see much more interesting alternatives for my capital.

The list would be too long now, but Teladoc is up there. Have already kicked out a few this year and reallocated. I will be active when the exemption order is raised again.

@GordonGekko83 Makes sense, of course. What else is high on your list?

@Mister_ultra I'll name three: The Social Chain, Novavax and Just Kitchen. All doomed to "demise".😂

BASF on the hit list? That leaves me at a loss...

@Dividenden-Penner BASF's business in Germany is making losses below the line and is only "saved" by the other regions. The high energy prices are, of course, having a massive impact on BASF and, due to the current (green) policy, I do not see any (political) efforts to solve or change this in the foreseeable future.

Therefore, there are two scenarios for me: - BASF continues to drag along the loss-making business in Germany and hopes for positive effects from the other regions - BASF reacts to this and relocates large parts of the production to other countries, which will inevitably lead to a large restructuring effort and high costs. I see my capital invested more sensibly and, above all, more profitably in other shares.

@MeepMeep For me, that would be scenario 2, which is exciting, but it would cost years and billions. In the meantime, I'm sure better investments can be found.

For me it's Varta! Already 70% in the minus 😢
@NeotheHacker I know only too well...but have not yet managed to separate myself

@Ghoscht I also not....and whenever they fall again, I think... "Shit...I would have sold better times " Do you think they come again?
@NeotheHacker I'm also like that and then they suddenly pull out of nowhere again 10%...only to fall again 🙈. if the should come back then it takes a few more years. I'm still waiting for the restructuring program. Let's see...if it's good I stock maybe to push the buyin bissle (yes yes...good money you should not throw bad after😉) If it's bad then it will probably be a case for the loss pot...evt also only half the stock...and leave the rest as a "reminder".

Much too long in the depot I have $HHFA and $TEAM. But it's hard for me to part with them.

Out with it. For me it is $BABA and $1211 that are over 80 in the minus, but since they are small contributions I leave them currently 🤣
