$BAS (-2,78%) BASF is my money-printing machine.

It prints a lot of money every year (dividends) and the sales value of the money-printing machine is irrelevant.

With this approach, I inherited 2,600 shares in 2020 and decided to hold them.

In 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024, the machine printed €8,840 each year. In 2025 it will probably only be ~€6,000. Still okay, but nevertheless, the money printing machine is on shaky ground. Not much should go wrong in the next few years. Otherwise the machine will stop printing and I can sell it at the flea market.

More like a money wasting machine...if you had put the money into a World, you would have made 50%. But hindsight is always wiser and as an outsider it's easy for me to say. But it would still be an option...

Hold! Let others enjoy their book profits, you enjoy regular dividends and can also buy something for it...

@Kronos_ What tastes good? A share on the decline with no chance of massive improvement? Every world ETF performs better 😕

@Kronos_ But you do know what a dividend discount is, don't you? BASF has made -38% in the last 5 years, $HMWO +28% Even with dividends, BASF is not in the black. With the World, that's on top of it. You can also simply sell shares for 6k.

I have to be honest, I sold a few days ago. It wasn't easy for me, but the investment case at the time was dead and I don't see any improvement in the foreseeable future.

Hold on to the shares and enjoy the dividends... Hopefully better times will come again for BASF.
