Hello everyone,
after almost 2 months break and restructuring in the team, at CCF and some other stuff in the background, we are back again!
The CCF starts again just in time for March.🚀
Now:
- Larger
- More prices
- different price categories
- new evaluation concept for preselection
Wait, so many changes?
Here you can see the magic!🪄
For the participants, i.e. the community, almost nothing changes!
You still only need to mark entries that you deem worthy of the CCF award with @ccf mark.
Afterwards, our jury will start to categorize the entries, because with the March CCF, award categories will be introduced.
We have noticed that more and more often not directly stock market related topics are published and it is always very difficult to compare personal stories, experiences, etc. with the "hard facts" including research of an analysis and the like.
That is why we now award up to 6 prizes each month contributions categorized as "off-topic".
These thus compete outside of posts with great research or directly on the topic of finance, stock market and investing.
Why up to?
We do not know ourselves how many contributions are published apart from finances, stock exchange and Investieren, why it does not have to be that also all 6 prices are assigned.
Now we have declared the category "Off-Topic", but what happens to the rest?
For the other entries marked with CCF, we go back to the familiar concept.
Our jury will make a pre-selection of 6 entries, which will be up for vote again at the end to decide the final order.🥇🥈🥉
Wait, why 6 winners instead of 7 like in December?
Are we trying to save money?🧐
No, of course we didn't get stingy.😉
In December, we voted with the reactions on contributions, which we want to keep.
There were some complaints about the "Like" reaction (👍), which is why it is no longer used in voting.
Since then only 6 reactions remain, there are also only 6 winners.
So what's the deal with the new rating concept?
Since the beginning of the CCF, we have been working with a model in the jury that calculates how popular a particular contribution is based on existing data.
This includes, but is not limited to, information such as reactions, reach and comments.
Each of these pieces of information has a point value, while the total sum of these points represents the value of the contribution.
Each jury member can then distribute a certain number of points among all the entries as well.
This point allocation takes place before the jury knows what score is available for which entry.
Here we have adjusted the calculation in the background a bit to weight certain data higher.
As already announced, the marked entries from January and February automatically end up in the race for the CCF in March.
What is there to win?
We will publish additional entries in the next few days.😇
We hope you are just as excited about the new concept and are also excited about the winners!🚀
