Amazon ($AMZN (+1,89 %)) - Tech giant Amazon delivered quarterly results last night, surprising especially in the profit and revenue growth of its cloud division AWS. Earnings per share were $27.8, almost double the previous quarter. The IPO of Rivian, which brought in $11.8 billion in book profits for Amazon, played a big role in this. AWS revenue increased by 40% to $71 billion.

England () - The Bank of England carries out the next interest rate hike. The central bank in London thus raises the interest rate to 0.5%. By 2023, the key interest rate could rise to a full 1.5%, according to the central bank. The reason for this is primarily the high inflation, which is expected to reach 7.25% in April.
