I don't really understand the hype surrounding $NOW. There must be a reason why the share is trading about 50% lower than the calculation would say.
I had a look at their website, which is full of buzzwords etc., isn't that just hot air?

@jkb92 true, my dcf calculation gives me a price target of €160 bear case, €210 base case and €300 for the bullish case over the 5 years, from todays price we can expect at least 15% cagr for the bear case which is the worst case scenario

Oh, actually that's a good point @jkb92
Because the better the AI companies run, the less the SaaS company would be needed. Either OpenAI and co will compete with them or the companies could do it themselves with the AI instead of paying $NOW for it

@cat_full_of_fries the word is not mine, it was a term to summarize the (in my view) exaggerated fears regarding saas and AI.

@cat_full_of_fries $NOW is hard to replace because it ends up sitting at the center of core enterprise processes. Once a company builds its IT, HR, finance, and operations on top of the platform, switching means redoing integrations, automation, governance, and even user training. That creates high switching costs and a lot of operational risk, which is why I believe that even as AI continues to evolve, ServiceNow will still play a very important role inside companies.
I also think the fundamentals are disconnected from the current valuation, which makes me comfortable for the long term. I’ve also spoken with a senior executive at $NESN which I have contact with, and he talked to me about how important the platform is for the company and how difficult it would be to replace. This combination of strategic importance and what I see as an attractive valuation is what led me to invest in the company, plus a little bit of hype too ( not gonna lie )
