The sports car manufacturer Porsche is increasingly looking for innovative mobility start-ups. To this end, the Stuttgart-based Volkswagen subsidiary is working with the American start-up incubator UP.Labs and investing double-digit millions. Six new companies are to be founded by 2025, as Porsche announced on Tuesday.
Porsche has a long tradition of supporting start-ups. Most recently, the VW subsidiary invested in a company that manufactures battery cells and aims to improve the performance and range of batteries through the use of novel materials. Rimac, a Croatian automotive supplier that also builds luxury electric cars, is the most successful start-up in Porsche's portfolio.

Campbell Soup Co joined Kellogg Co and Kraft Heinz Co in raising its full-year sales forecast on Wednesday after the maker of Swanson broth and Goldfish crackers beat quarterly estimates on price increases and easing supply chain bottlenecks.
The New Jersey-based soup maker's profit margin rose in the third quarter as it increased prices at a time when the packaged food industry continues to be pressured by rising freight and raw material costs.
Easing supply constraints and improved staffing have helped Campbell meet robust demand for its soups and sauces as consumers prioritise essential foods over luxury items in the face of rising inflation.
