Last year, all Bitcoin Treasuries took a massive hit, and my short-term bet on Metaplanet $3350 (+0,85 %) didn’t pan out. To be honest, I didn’t like the way the international stock offering was handled at all, and what recently came to light regarding executive compensation and transparency in communication could have put the final nail in the coffin.

Metaplanet also failed to benefit from the latest Bitcoin $BTC (-0,88 %) rebound, while competitors like Strive $ASST (+0,58 %) are clearly better positioned for the moment, and this is directly reflected in their mNAV and, consequently, their stock price. Even the giant Strategy $MSTR (+1,44 %) managed to outperform.

However, I believe that’s precisely where the opportunity lies right now. Contrary to my short-term speculation, my long-term thesis regarding the Treasuries—and Metaplanet in particular—remains completely intact.

Through the acquisition of the U.S. subsidiary in SuperLeague $SLE and the confirmation of the first preferred shares—which are set to be issued in October and will be tradable privately in Japan first and then publicly in the U.S. by the end of Q4—Metaplanet is now presenting the market with a first plausible basis for no longer underperforming in the future.

I believe that the recent FUD surrounding management is still weighing on the stock price and see this as an opportunity to continue accumulating shares, as I have been doing since August. In my opinion, over a 10-year period or longer—with a portion of the portfolio diversified globally across leading BTC treasuries—it’s possible to achieve a massive excess return relative to the broader market and a moderate excess return relative to spot BTC. It’s something worth looking into at least once.

And hey, maybe something will even come of the German $WDL1 (+0 %) turn out to be something.😅 But even I’m watching that one from the sidelines.

$ASST (+0,58 %) To round off the Halloween week, here is the status of the trade.

Well, somehow neither "trick or treat"! That could be the conclusion. Based on the closing price of Friday, October 24th at 1.10$, the Halloween week was quite volatile, but ended so-so in the midfield at +21.39%.

The start of the week was quite positive with a swing of up to +64.55%, but as the week progressed the price gradually fell back to close to the 1.10$ mark. On the last trading day, October 31, it then rose again somewhat and ended at $1.34.

For a better overview, I have hidden the post and pre-market trading hours.

I will stay in the trade for a while, let's see what next week brings. The weekly performance of +21% would be OK.

$ASST (+0,58 %) As presented yesterday as a Halloween trade, the question today is whether the trade will bring "trick or treat" by Halloween 🙄

What does the chart look like - at least until around 19:00 today😅

Pre-market at the start at 9:00 in the morning there was a swing of up to +60% with an incredible volume of over 8m shares in the first 10min. The high volume continued until another volume peak at 12:00 with 11mio shares in 10min.

At the start of trading at 14:30, a further 10m shares went over the counter in the first 10 minutes. On average, we moved between 3 and 4m shares per 10min candle today - incredible volumes for such a small stock that normally trades at 30k in 10min. What a difference social sentiment makes 🙈

The share price is currently still up a good +43% on Friday's close. Let's see how the day ends today. And how the next few days will continue... It remains exciting.

I got in today in the pre-market with 2 small tranches of 400 shares each and am now waiting for things to happen 🙄

$ASST (+0,58 %) On Friday, the social sentiment at ASST was off the charts, would that be something for a Halloween trade?

The trading volume increased extremely on Friday, from an average of 25-30k shares per 10 minutes to almost 3 million shares per 10 minutes / average 1 million shares per 10 minutes. Accordingly, the share price has already risen by around +30%.

Info: the blue and orange background shows the post and pre-market trading times.

ASST has had a wild ride since May, from a peak of $14 to under $1. After-market prices peaked at up to 20$😬😬😬😬

I'll have a look at the order book tomorrow at 9am at the start of pre-market trading. With corresponding price action around the VWAP, I could imagine a small order.

$ASST (+0,58 %) There are increasing signs in a number of forums and on a number of platforms that something like the Beyond Meat Festival revival is about to take place. Redit, WhatsApp etc. are being discussed. Does anyone know more?
