Hello, everyone,
Even last year, I was always keeping an eye on Friedrich Vorwerk’s stock $VH2 (+3,51 %) . Sometimes they were too expensive for me, other times I’d forgotten about them. In the end, I was looking for an entry point into the holding company MBB $MBB (+0,34 %) . But in both cases, I completely missed the boat.
With Siemens Energy $ENR (+1,36 %) , I got in by a huge coincidence—or maybe we should just call it luck.
Last week, the ASTA Energy IPO reminded me $PFSE .
After the IPO in May, my view on Pfisterer was that the stock must be an alternative to both Friedrich Vorwerk and Siemens Energy. Both of these peer-group stocks were among my favorites. The topic of massive investments in the German power grid due to the energy transition and the AI era was prominent on the stock market. After a little more than seven months, the Pfisterer stock has risen sharply. I’m very satisfied with the performance because the story has been recognized. A 2021 P/E ratio of 21 for 2027 isn’t too expensive given the growth.
Dear readers, please share your thoughts on PFISTERER in the comments.
After the fairly significant correction on January 7, is the stock now a buy in your opinion?
(The stock is currently hovering near old lows; if it breaks above those, I’m optimistic.) @TomTurboInvest

My friends, no lights, no internet, no transportation—trains came to a standstill, and traffic lights went out. When a blackout struck Spain and Portugal in April of last year, industry and more than 50 million people on the Iberian Peninsula were left without power. It took over 12 hours for the electrical infrastructure to start functioning reasonably well again.
Last year in Berlin, it wasn’t just a few hours.

Pfisterer: The Hidden Winner of Siemens Energy’s Power Grid Boom?
One of the success stories of the past stock market year was Siemens Energy’s stock and Pfisterer’s highly successful IPO. The two companies are linked, as Pfisterer is a supplier to Siemens Energy in the power grid sector. Things are going exceptionally well for Siemens Energy in this sector, as it secured 6.9 billion euros in orders last quarter and has an order backlog of 42 billion euros. Among other things, the segment is benefiting from new high-voltage direct current (HVDC) projects. Siemens Energy expects to continue the positive trends in the energy sector.
In the U.S., electricity demand is expected to grow by 2.2 to 2.4% this year and next. The two main drivers are AI data centers and the electrification of industry and transportation. Consequently, investment in the expansion of power grids is necessary. Germany, too, is facing massive investments. The 2037/2045 Grid Development Plan is expected to result in investments of 250 billion euros, if not as much as 450 billion euros. As a provider of the necessary infrastructure with a global presence, Pfisterer stands to benefit from these massive investments.
The PFISTERER Holding SE is a globally active technology company headquartered in Winterbach, Germany. The company develops, manufactures, and markets innovative products for connecting and insulating electrical conductors at interfaces in power grids. With 17 operational sites in 15 countries and production facilities in Germany, the Czech Republic, and the U.S., PFISTERER is well-positioned for sustainable growth.
Its business operations are divided into five segments: Components (COM), Medium Voltage Cable Accessories (MVA), Overhead Lines (OHL), High Voltage Cable Accessories (HVA), and High Voltage Direct Current Cable Accessories (HVD). These segments offer a broad portfolio of connectors, cable assemblies, and insulation solutions for voltages ranging from low to extra-high voltage, including innovative high-voltage direct current transmission systems.
In fiscal year 2024, PFISTERER generated stable revenue of 383 million euros and strong adjusted EBITDA of just under 65 million euros. The company benefits from its technological expertise, global presence, and diversified product portfolio, which is indispensable for the energy infrastructure of the future. The shares were placed in Germany as part of a public offering to finance further growth and expand the company’s market position.
With a clear growth strategy, a solid financial foundation, and an experienced management team, PFISTERER offers investors an attractive opportunity to participate in the energy transition and the modernization of global power grids.

HVDC
OVERCOMING BOUNDARIES
Behind the four letters H, V, D, and C lies a key driver of the energy infrastructure of the future. HVDC stands for High-Voltage Direct Current. This technology makes it possible to transmit electricity over long distances with virtually no losses. It transcends borders—both figuratively and literally. As we look to the future, we see how HVDC will connect countries and continents via supranational energy grids (so-called “supergrids”). We see how, thanks to HVDC, wind and solar power in remote regions can be easily integrated into the grids. And we see even more applications.
With PFISTERER’s innovations in the field of HVDC cable assemblies and the planned establishment of its own laboratory for product testing and development, PFISTERER is helping to ensure that this future technology can fully realize its potential.
Manufacturing
OF INNOVATIVE PRODUCTS IN THE U.S.
The power grids in the United States of America are in need of modernization. Several extreme weather events have hit the country and its infrastructure hard in recent years. To support projects in the U.S. with innovative solutions, PFISTERER is establishing a facility in Rochester, New York. Its areas of focus include production, sales, a training center, as well as cable assembly and testing.
Renewable Energy
WITH TECHNOLOGY FOR FLOATING OFFSHORE WIND POWER
Offshore wind power is experiencing strong growth. And for good reason: Floating offshore wind turbines can be deployed in deep waters under optimal wind conditions, thereby opening up new areas for renewable energy.
With innovations in subsea cables and floating structures, PFISTERER is helping to realize this potential to the fullest.
SEANEX 145 kV
RELIABILITY FOR THE FUTURE
Offshore wind power is increasingly relying on higher voltage levels. These improve the efficiency of energy transmission, minimize transmission losses, and greatly enhance the economic viability of large wind farms.
This calls for a technological upgrade of turbines, substations, and cables. With SEANEX, PFISTERER has developed an innovative high-voltage connection system for offshore turbines up to 72.5 kV that has won over customers worldwide. We are currently working on its successor for voltage levels up to 145 kV.
Localization
IN SAUDI ARABIA
The economy in the Middle East is growing rapidly, and with it, energy demand. This calls for significant investment in grid infrastructure—on two levels. On the one hand, it must be modernized; on the other, it must be expanded to efficiently integrate renewable energy and ensure a reliable overall energy supply. The combined solution consists of smart grids and regional interconnectors. Both enhance grid stability and promote cross-border energy trade. Smart grids leverage modern communication technology to coordinate the various components of the energy system, such as power generation and consumption, while interconnectors link the power grids of two countries.
By establishing a new location in Saudi Arabia—complete with a sales and training center and a local production partner—PFISTERER is also contributing to the exciting developments in the region.
Development
OF THE FIRST PLUGGABLE UNIVERSAL SUBMARINE CABLE REPAIR JOINT UP TO 170 KV
PFISTERER is developing a universal repair sleeve for submarine cables up to 170 kV for the transmission system operator TenneT. “Universal” means: This one-size-fits-all solution will safely and quickly repair cable faults with minimal storage requirements—completely independent of the cable’s design or manufacturer.
(My dear @Klein-Anleger , here we are once again in the oceans, and with $PNG (+1,42 %) )
A global sales network—always close by
With a sales network covering every continent, PFISTERER offers local expertise on a global scale. The company relies on a direct presence in numerous countries through its own manufacturing facilities, testing laboratories, and sales offices, enabling PFISTERER to meet its customers’ needs quickly and efficiently.
In locations where PFISTERER does not have a direct presence, the company collaborates with long-standing, trusted distribution partners who possess in-depth expertise and a strong network in their respective markets. They have been working with some of these partners for several decades. These partners understand the local nuances and are available to PFISTERER customers worldwide. This provides a significant competitive advantage.
Solutions for Power Generation
Offshore Wind
- PFISTERER’s connection and interconnection technology is already in use in offshore wind farms around the globe. Offshore wind farm operators trust these solutions because they know they can rely on PFISTERER.
Onshore Wind
- Generating renewable energy from onshore wind to meet future energy demands requires highly efficient wind turbines. Technological innovations in recent years have ensured that the efficiency of these turbines has continuously increased while their costs have been reduced. PFISTERER technology ensures the safe and reliable integration of onshore wind power into power grids worldwide.
Solar
- The sun holds the power needed for decarbonization. The importance of solar energy in the energy mix is growing steadily. Large-scale projects around the world are creating facilities with enormous capacities—and thus a great need for the efficient and reliable transmission of solar power. PFISTERER meets this need with proven products for safe power transmission and distribution.
Conventional Generation
- The transition to a renewable energy supply is taking place gradually. Until it is complete, conventional generation sources will remain important components of the global energy mix. This also means that the associated infrastructure must remain state-of-the-art. PFISTERER supports conventional power generation with reliable connection technologies for generators and substations.
Energy Transmission Solutions
Underground Cables
- The importance of underground cable systems in global power grids is growing. Urbanization, more frequent extreme weather events, and environmental and nature conservation goals make underground cables an attractive option. Rising loads—resulting, for example, from the increasing use of volatile electricity from renewable energy sources—place greater demands on these systems. PFISTERER’s solutions up to 550 kV ensure a reliable flow of electricity at critical interfaces.
Submarine Cables
- In April 2025, the PFISTERER Group completed the full Akquisition von Power CSL bekanntgegeben, a leading technical specialist company that offers products and services for connecting submarine cables for the global offshore industry.
Overhead Lines
- Overhead lines transport electricity over long distances—and with global demand on the rise, they have a lot of work ahead of them. To ensure they perform as intended, advanced technologies and materials are needed for efficient power transmission.
- PFISTERER knows what’s needed. And PFISTERER delivers it. The company is a global partner for systems and components in overhead line projects—in the tropics and deserts with their extreme heat, in coastal regions and the northern latitudes with their sub-zero temperatures.
Substation
- Substations are central hubs in power grids—and thus central to the energy supply. If operators want to ensure that transformers and gas-insulated switchgear are safe and cost-effective, they must first ensure that their connection components and accessories operate efficiently and reliably. PFISTERER’s technologies combine cutting-edge innovation with a wide variety of components in a modular system—for grid connections and equipment protection that operators can rely on.
Modular Solutions
- Pluggable modular cable solutions are becoming increasingly attractive. They enable fast, flexible, and safe installations in high- and extra-high-voltage grids. The benefits for energy suppliers, grid operators, and OEMs are clear: reduced downtime, easy maintenance, and rapid adaptation or expansion of systems—resulting in greater efficiency and future-proofing of the energy infrastructure. PFISTERER offers the widest selection of advanced connector technology components.
Energy Distribution Solutions
Distribution Stations
- Substations in distribution grids are enablers and shapers of the future. They must be robust and high-performance because they play a crucial role when energy sources are to be integrated into the grids. Or when smart grid technologies are used to improve grid stability. Or when it comes to efficiently meeting the rising energy demand in urban areas. PFISTERER offers innovative, reliable connection technologies for medium- and low-voltage grids that are compatible with a wide variety of cable types.
E-Mobility
- Electric vehicles play a key role in the global mobility of the future. PFISTERER technology equips modern high-power EV charging stations with advanced distribution technology. This technology can be described as advanced because it enables the charging of large amounts of electricity—simultaneously at multiple charging stations at full power. PFISTERER’s contact technology is also widely used in electric trains, for example in battery connections, air conditioning systems, and car couplings.
Industrial Plants
- If industrial plants experience frequent outages, operational efficiency suffers. This happens, for example, when connection and coupling components for electric drives and power supply systems are not precisely tailored to the plant’s requirements. With PFISTERER’s customized solutions, downtime is reduced to a minimum.
Safety Technology for Distribution Networks
- “Better safe than sorry” applies particularly strongly in safety technology across all voltage levels. After all, safety technology is one of the most sensitive areas of energy supply. Operation should therefore be simple and unambiguous. And, of course, reliability is absolutely essential here. PFISTERER’s products—voltage testers, grounding and short-circuiting devices, grounding and operating rods, and continuous monitoring systems—meet these requirements precisely for every application.
Future
