I have opened a first position in $VALE3 (+0,05 %) Vale. Technically, the share currently appears to be in a good buy zone.

The dividend yield, which is not constant but high in some cases, is also an incentive for me.

In order to open up a first long-term play on copper, but also on commodities in general, the share fits quite well into the portfolio.

Let's see how big I let the position get. 🙃👌

ui exciting, I've been watching Vale for quite a while now. So far, however, I have held back. Here's to a good share price performance.

@SSIT thank you 😉 what are you waiting for? Do you have a specific target price where you want to start?

@Rendite_Fux My go-to mining company was originally Southern Copper $SCCO, but I didn't really like the development in 2023 and the outlook. Things could certainly look different again in a few months' time. Vale is then my 1b candidate. Because of everything concerning Russia - and the BRICS countries as a result - I'm simply cautious at the moment. Some people may call this fear-mongering, but for me there is (still) too much risk involved in Brazilian equities, among others.

I almost never see price targets as an entry criterion. Either I'm convinced of an investment and then I put money into it or I don't. 😅
