
According to data published by the South Korean market research company SNE Research, global consumption of EV batteries totaled 1,046 GWh from January to November, an increase of 32.6% compared to 788.9 GWh in the same period last year.
Installations of EV batteries from CATL $3750 (+0,56 %) EV battery installations amounted to 400 GWh from January to November, an increase of 34.5% compared to 297.4 GWh in the same period in 2024.
The Chinese battery giant maintained its position as the world's leading supplier with a market share of 38.2% in this period, remaining the only battery supplier worldwide with a market share of over 30%.
This share is higher than the share of 37.7% in the period from January to November 2024 and also exceeds the share of 38.1% in the period from January to October 2025.
The EV battery installations of BYD $1211 (+3,7 %) EV battery installations totaled 175.2 GWh from January to November, an increase of 31.3% compared to 133.4 GWh in the same period in 2024.
The company took second place from January to November with a share of 16.7%. Its share was 16.9% both from January to November 2024 and from January to October 2025.
LG Energy Solution $373220 installed 96.9 GWh of power batteries from January to November, an increase of 11.1% compared to the previous year.
The South Korean company retained its third place with a market share of 9.3% in the period from January to November, down from 11.1% in the same period of 2024, but unchanged from January to October 2025.
The Chinese company CALB $3931 took fourth place with an installed capacity of 50.9 GWh and a share of 4.9 %.
The Chinese company Gotion High-tech took fifth place with a share of 4.3%, while the South Korean company SK On (KR7096770003) took sixth place with a share of 3.9%.
Panasonic $6752 (+1,11 %) from Japan, Eve Energy $CNFDSHIX6285 and Svolt Energy from China and Samsung SDI $0L2T (+1,9 %) from South Korea took seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth place with market shares of 3.7%, 2.7%, 2.6% and 2.6% respectively in the period from January to November.
It is worth noting that Samsung SDI took eighth place with a share of 2.7% in the period from January to October, ahead of Eve Energy and Svolt Energy.
