Tradable on Consorsbank and with savings plan (fee 1.5%)

@RaphGM I actually wanted to open a children's custody account with Scalable and put something aside for my little one. does consorsbank have something like that?

@Ardo then take scalable $EWG2... tax-free after 1 year holding period, as you are entitled to delivery at any time

@Underwood_F what is the difference to the other one ?

@Ardo both track gold. I'm not familiar enough with Xetra Gold to be able to tell you the difference. Euwax has no ongoing costs as far as I know (but not sure). You pay a little spread when you buy, but it's all within reason. And to what extent Xetra is tax free or even taxable, I don't know. Most people here in the forum probably have EWG2; as far as I know, only ewg2 and $WGLD are tax-free in the German market

@Underwood_F As far as I know, there are other tax-optimized products, but the ones from XETRA and Euwax are the best performing and also the best known. You have correctly identified all the differences.
I would use Euwax for long-term holding, as XETRA charges quite substantial fees over time and the settlements are annoying.

Too late to buy now

@Shrimpman The idea is to run a savings plan for my little one.
Is there really such a thing as "too late"?

@Ardo then too early, if the investment horizon is so long I would wait a bit until it inevitably falls again

@Ardo Then I'd go for this one, it's very suitable for your purposes.
