$CNHI (-0,19 %) While I'm loading up on hay, I'm wondering why I've never actually bought shares in the brand. Does anyone have them in their portfolio or on their watchlist?

@Alpalaka wouldn't invest in agricultural machinery shares at the moment anyway. It was just for the sake of interest. I haven't analyzed $CNHI either, but I will do so at some point and see what result I come to...

@Alpalaka My cousin has 2 of them. I always borrow the N174 for mowing as the Steyr doesn't have front hydraulics. I used to have a CS 120 but because I only do grassland, the Steyr 4080 is enough.
Or I still have a Case 644 😀

@Hotte1909 For forestry, the A-series from Valtra is enough for me.

Apart from that, I have an ancient Fendt for splitting wood :D

@userc818a6f2df6247c9 I looked it up again. It only said something about the engine division, nothing about the agricultural machinery division. But Case NH and Steyr are completely identical anyway. Even the buttons are the same, just not the color

STEYR engines went to mutares, Steyr tractors probably not... I still think cnh is interesting.

@userc818a6f2df6247c9 yes, interesting in any case. The competition with $DE and $ACCO is of course quite strong. The agricultural machinery sector in general is highly competitive. However, I would not invest in this sector at the moment. The boom years are over for now. Subsidies are declining and most farms are stocked up on machinery. I think the next peak phase will come in 6-8 years. When the companies have to invest.

I see it the same way. I'm a "sufferer" myself 😀 but the 6-8year.... I still have to think about it. At some point they, the farmers, will have to buy again... replace yes.
But that would require another fat year or at least one.
I find Deutz interesting.... because it's cyclical and they also build engines for other machines.
John Deere is also broader like Acco..... now
