I used to be a big fan of $2318 and it was an integral part of my portfolio for a long time. In its use of technology and AI, this insurance company is miles ahead of the Germans, such as Allianz. During the last Chinese real estate crisis, Ping An was ordered by the Chinese government to buy billions of dollars of junk loans to stabilize the market. The share price plummeted as a result. For me, it's a red line when a government intervenes in individual listed companies in this way and I suffer losses as a result.
