Show us your losses!

New challenge

Inspired by @GoDividend who complained that only a few people post their losses here (with $DRO (-3,02 %) ), here is a new challenge. Post the transaction with which you realized the highest loss (percentage or absolute, your decision) and why. Mark the whole thing with the tag #lossporn and off you go.

In $YOU (-0,46 %) I invested in Scayle, the e-com platform belonging to About You, and diligently took the plunge. My first purchase was at over 20 euros. I then sold at 4.63 euros. You can even find a post from me on my profile about $YOU (-0,46 %)

Why did I sell? Because I got rid of all individual stocks as part of a change in strategy. And because Scayle is not as cool as I thought.

Fittingly, I nominate @GoDividend , @DividendenWaschbaer , @Der_Dividenden_Monteur and anyone else who's up for it

Why don't you write "shares for the loss offset pot"
That doesn't sound so harsh

@Alpalaka it should be hard 😁

@Alpalaka "Shares for the tax refund"

Too many choices 🤯😵‍💫

@TomCOR choose the biggest one

In fact, I don't have a big realized loss.
But my biggest unrealized position is $BIGG with -95%.

Typical beginner's mistake with Canadian penny stocks. That's why I'm not in $DRO 😂

@DividendenWaschbaer You may also write a post about $BIGG. Exemption granted. Possibly interesting why you don't realize a loss 😘
Imagen de perfil
@DonkeyInvestor That's quickly answered. Because it's so little that it won't do much good anywhere else 😂
Now it stays put and that's it.

@DividendenWaschbaer there will probably be a kebab in it
Imagen de perfil
@DonkeyInvestor Yes, that's right. There are even 5 kebabs in it.
Imagen de perfil
@DonkeyInvestor maybe it's at least three fifty

Imagen de perfil
@DividendenWaschbaer There you go. In a few years, there will be far fewer kebabs

@DividendenWaschbaer I can understand that, I also stay away from Canadian penny stocks. I was lucky and went out at around + -0. It feels like every company in Canada is on the stock exchange. Australia, however, seems more reputable to me. I have often taken profits with $RIO 😂

Must go looking tonight

Fisker -79%
Europlasma -89%

... without a great strategy. Just stupid gambling decisions in a beer mood.
Whereby the percentages are worse than the money, there wasn't much at stake...

@Ludaaa7 I had also briefly considered buying into Fisker, but fortunately I didn't.
@Marco-VI yes, it was a stupid bet when they almost got help back then.... be happy :-)

Currently $NCH2 with ~-30%. But the worst loss was none at all. $ENR bought well, well above the doubling, then the Gamesa case, panicked and sold instead of buying the dip and well - left a lot of money lying around, but no minus 🥲

I sold Droneshield yesterday at +14% and am waiting for a favorable entry point at EUR 0.60 - 0.70, as I still find the company very interesting. My biggest losses the year before last were Intel with -45% where I invested in Microsoft and my Gazprom corpse with -67% which has been in the portfolio forever. If it weren't for the political situation, I would still be convinced of the company.
Since then, I no longer invest directly in such countries. I also stay away from China.

@Marco-VI Learned it after all 👍
$LEOd -30% in 22h.... then quickly out again... sometimes it goes well with the short-term things, sometimes not... but was only in with 100€. But every euro I lose through something like that hurts me. btw. they're broke now anyway

$ZIM with -17%

No, have none

@Pirat123 and those that have not yet been realized?
Imagen de perfil
@DonkeyInvestor none. I'm in the black, everywhere.

I can't put this here in such a fancy way ...
Sale from $ETSY Etsy at € 58.84, purchase in Corona times at around € 178. It went well during Corona, then not anymore and I didn't get out because I thought Ebay would take over Etsy one day. Then I lost patience. -67% The money was more profitable elsewhere.

At Droneshield $DRO, among others. Now it's lying around, not invested. I don't have enough time for $XEON. I would like to get back into $DRO soon.
Imagen de perfil
@market_analyst_466 exciting. I joined Etsy in 2019 for 36 euros. But then missed the jump to the Corona high
Imagen de perfil
@DonkeyInvestor Unfortunate, but you are still in the black.
Imagen de perfil
@market_analyst_466 sold a long time ago (at a profit) 🙂
