The German Football Association has commissioned Deutsche Bank $DBK (+0,8 %) to lead the potential sale of a package of media rights, Bloomberg reports. One option being discussed is the sale of a stake in a new subsidiary housing domestic and international broadcast rights, Bloomberg News reported in June. The DFL is considering selling up to 20% of the unit, which could be valued at around €18 billion ($18 billion).

1. Adidas kicks out CEO
The CEO of sporting goods manufacturer Adidas, Kasper Rorsted, resigns from his post. He and the Supervisory Board have decided "by mutual agreement" that Rorsted will retire in 2023, according to an Adidas press release. Rorsted will remain in office until his successor is appointed, while the search is underway. According to "Manager Magazin", major investors are said to have lost patience with Rorsted. Groupe Bruxelles Lambert, a holding company that controls 7.1% of Adidas, is reportedly one of them. According to the magazine, his "gruff management style" has annoyed numerous Adidas superiors.

2 Eurowings increases the number of business trips:
Following the coronavirus pandemic, demand for business travel has increased significantly again. The Lufthansa subsidiary is responding with a 30% increase in flights from September. According to Eurowings CEO Jens Bischof, punctuality and reliability should also have improved significantly; the reliability rate for Eurowings flights should be around 99% again. Despite the announcement, the Lufthansa share slipped by 2.55% today.
