Alphabet Readded to the Portfolio 📈

After I bought my condo, I sold my Alphabet shares $GOOGL (+0,14 %) and used the proceeds as equity for the condo. 🏠

Now Alphabet is back in my portfolio. This time, I raised part of the capital needed for this through the selling my BYD position $1211 (-0,6 %) . In doing so, I realized a loss of about €1,000.

In contrast, Alphabet has generated a profit of about €4,100 in profit over the last 12 months. In this way, Alphabet has even indirectly helped finance my real estate purchase.

Now I’m starting fresh with Alphabet and would like to continue building out the position for the long term. 💪

For me, this is a good example of how a long-term investment strategy doesn’t always follow a linear path: take profits, use capital for other goals, accept losses, and then reinvest.

Alphabet is back on board. 🚀

What’s your take on Alphabet right now—still an attractive long-term investment? 👇

It's gotten too hot for my taste, even though the P/E ratio is tempting. I'm still waiting for a pullback so I can get back in.
