Exciting story about $MPW (+0,22 %)

Earlier this year, Viceroy Research LLC (founder Perring had at the time $WDI (-33,51 %) brought down) made serious accusations against $MPW (+0,22 %) raised.

$MPW (+0,22 %) subsequently filed suit on March 30 for defamation, among other things. In the publication of today's quarterly figures $MPW (+0,22 %) comments on this as follows:

"On March 30, MPT sued short seller Viceroy Research LLC and its directors, including Fraser Perring, in federal court for defamation and related wrongs in connection with their campaign of malicious falsehoods designed to generate profits at the expense of MPT and its shareholders. The statement of claim is available here.

Although Perring has publicly acknowledged the lawsuit, he has not commented on the case. And rather than respond to MPT's allegations, Viceroy has filed motions to dismiss the lawsuits before they reach a jury, arguing that they cannot be sustained because Viceroy's attacks on the company, although contained in "reports," were not "facts," but merely "opinions" and "comments . . dominated by colorful, hyperbolic language," and also claims that the court lacks jurisdiction. But as MPT's lawsuit makes clear, the false, misleading, and defamatory statements repeatedly published by Viceroy, Perring, and others are not "opinions" or "beliefs," but alleged statements of fact, the fundamental nature of which cannot be altered by disclaimers. MPT looks forward to proving its claims and obtaining from Defendants and others the documents, communications, and other disclosures to which it is entitled under the law."

Curious to see how this progresses. Viceroy doesn't seem to be so sure about his claims anymore 😉 ...

@DerBofrostmann Options and credit are levers! But even more levers, if you like. The main thing is Allin with house and yard and wife! If it works, you are a made man, if not, house, farm and wife are gone. YOLO! 😂

@Epi Well, not quite. With nem corresponding leverage you are also all gone, if the price only halves, for example. (Depends on the leverage). The option you do not have to solve or have then still a residual value and "at most" the loan debt on the cheek. 🤔

@Epi but yes, the main thing in. Time in the market us so 😂

@DerBofrostmann In the end, there is only one way to leverage an investment and that is to borrow. No matter if it is called option, future, CfD, certificate or whatever or if it runs with delivery contract or call option. Debt capital is always the decisive factor.
