As further information on my video "PACCAR Aktie im Check 🚚 – Lkw-Gigant mit DAF & Co: Kaufchance oder Falle?" this article should help you to better classify it.

Company profile:

• Paccar is a global technology group headquartered in Bellevue, Washington (USA).
• Main business: Development and production of light, medium and heavy-duty trucks (brands: Kenworth, Peterbilt, DAF).
• Other segments: Spare parts (aftermarket) and financial services for customers and dealers.
• Sector: Commercial vehicles/industrial technology (Industrials).
• Employees: approx. 30,100

🔎 Market position

PACCAR holds a strong position in the North American heavy-duty market: Group figures for 2024 indicate a share of around 30.7% of the Class 8 retail market in the USA and Canada - making Kenworth and Peterbilt the highest-volume manufacturers in this segment.

🏁 Main competitors and market structure

At regional level, PACCAR competes primarily with the major global OEM groups: Daimler Truck (with the Freightliner brand in North America) traditionally claims a leading share in the Class 8 segment and is therefore a direct volume and price competitor. Volvo Group (Volvo Trucks, Mack) is another core competitor that is defending its market share in North America and Europe, particularly through product breadth and service networks, and is driving growth in the area of electric and connected commercial vehicles. TRATON (incl. International/Navistar, Scania, MAN) strengthened its North American position through the acquisition of Navistar and is competing against PACCAR with an integrated brand portfolio.

🚦 Valuation: Favorable, but why?

P/E ratio of 11.6 and a free cash flow yield of 5,1 % smell like a bargain, but the market has reasons: The profit forecast for 2025 falls by -36,5 %sales are expected to fall by -22,5 % slump. This is not a growth story, but a classic cyclical downturn.

📉 Technical signals: neutral in the short term, mixed in the medium term

- Hour: Indicators and moving averages neutral to slightly negative (RSI 51.9, MACD negative)

- Day/week: Daily basis neutral, weekly on "buy" - Momentum lacking, but downward pressure decreasing

- Current price: 98.69 US dollars, around 17% below 52-week high

News-Check: Analysts cautious, insiders sell

- Morgan Stanley: "Equalweight", target price USD 93 - little upside potential

- Insider sale: CFO Poplawski sold shares for 340,785 US dollars on 27.10.2025 - not a sign of confidence, but no panic either [Read more](https://www.investing.com/news/insider-trading-news/paccar-svp-poplawski-sells-340k-in-shares-93CH-4311749)

Fundamental strengths - and the shotgun of the economy

Dividend continuity (55 years!) and high liquidity protect, but analysts expect a cyclical downturn from 2025 due to declining truck production and margin pressure. The valuation looks cheap - until you price in the shrinking EPS. The fair value estimates from Investing Pro even signal an undervaluation.

Of course no investment recommendation and more information on my blog! $PCAR (-2,28 %) . Have a nice weekend
