"The most pressing problems that AI can solve at Honeywell starts with a generational labor shortage that affects both the company and its customers. From pilots to technicians, declining birth rates in industrialized countries have led to fewer and fewer people being available for jobs that were previously 25 were still in demand 25 years ago. This problem affects the entire industry."
An important player for the entire industry is undoubtedly Honeywell ($HON (+0.27%) ). Honeywell is a heavyweight in this sector and achieved total sales of 37 billion dollars in 2023. The company is active in areas such as Electrical Solutions, Services & Connectivity, Motors & Propulsion Systems and Mechanical Systems & Components and has contracts with numerous aircraft manufacturers.
My analysis shows that #volocopter , $ACHR, $EVTL , #Supernal and EVE Air Mobility are working with Honeywell.

The company has spoken to several investment banks and could reach a valuation of around 10 billion US dollars, Bloomberg reports.

I (still) work in the construction industry for Deutsche Bahn. 🛤
My typical workday starts with a walk to the company car, a $F (+1.39%). If I'm not talking on my employer's $SMSD (+3.73%) cell phone ☎️ of my employer, I like to listen to podcasts or audiobooks about $SPOT (+0.9%). However, this is only via my personal phone from $AAPL (+0.52%). 📱
Since the distances to the railroad construction sites in Germany can be very long, I have to refuel every now and then, of course. With the fuel card it goes then to Aral, which as you know a company of the $BP (+2.17%) is. Recently, however, one can also fill up at $TTE (-0.43%) fill up. ⛽️
Work equipment includes the $TOSYY laptop 💻 and Office365 from $MSFT (+0.08%) 📧. On the construction site itself, of course, the personal protective equipment (PPE), partly from $MMM (+0.67%), cannot be missing. 🦺
My job is to coordinate the various companies on large construction sites. Since the post has massive problems staff zubekommen (for 15 € the hour, you can now for the job hardly inspire one for it) and also by the high sick leave rate, my employer offers for a few months 50 € fuel voucher of $BP. (+1.87%) extra if you come on your day off.

Well... Honey? how about 3M only with a cooler name? Some wondered why you don't know the company and some felt the same way I did... so here is my superficial research
First, the general business breakdown:
Aerospace: 37%
Building Technology: 22%
Performance Materials: 26%
Safety and Productivity: 15% [1]
So what does this mean in concrete terms? From conversations with other Getquin users it came out that they sell the following (among other things successfully):
Work clothing/ protective gloves, security systems for barriers, vents, thermostats etc for buildings, jet engines, weapons technology ("Honeywell produces about 85% of the non-nuclear components of America's nuclear weapons.")[2] well.. honey... WTF?

Disadvantage> conglomerate right there with them everywhere.... So they have to compete against heavyweights like Alphabet, Microsoft, MTU, 3M, Siemens or Basf.
Advantage: as with an ETF, one is invested in many areas through one company. For some perhaps also interesting in source [1] the dividend is described as "very safe". If you are interested, please read the part.
What do I do now?
I wait until 27.01 and look at the business figures. Should everything fit there I probably go in distributed phases 👍🏼
Disclaimer: I have not made a scientific paper out of the whole thing, so it may be that some things are no longer up to date. Honeywell also likes to decouple fields of activity.

Through my studies, I am currently working my way into quantum computing and have already gained some deeper insights.
Alongside IonQ, AQT, IBM and Google, Honeywell's joint venture with Cambridge Quantum is leading the way.
It's clearly a bet on Ion Trap technology. However, it is very scalable and less susceptible to interference.
