Hi everyone,

Barrick Gold $ABX (-2.34%) presented quarterly figures today.

The mining company beat expectations in the fourth quarter of 2024 (USD 0.41) with adjusted earnings per share of USD 0.46, while sales were slightly below forecasts.

Gold and copper production increased and the company announced a USD 1 billion share buyback program and a dividend of USD 0.10 per share #dividends .

Gold production is expected to decline slightly in 2025.

As an absolute fan of gold and the corresponding shares, I remain invested, and I also think that the sharp rise in the gold price will help the company a great deal.

At the end of last year, I published my "top picks list" here, in which I presented the stocks that I have put on my watchlist for 2024 and am also partially invested in (unfortunately not in all of them 😁).

At the time, I had compiled a list of stocks recommended by well-known analysts and put them through "my requirements profile". The original 100 stock ideas then became the list below. A year later, I'm looking back. This was the performance:

As you can see, my stock ideas have done quite well. $APP (-6.81%) with +753.81% was of course a big hit. $DORIAN With -47.70% it was a pipe-dropper.

The Iran attacks again Israel with missiles again because Israel is smoking out their network of Hezbollahs in Lebanon and Iran wants to save face so as not to look weak. Everyone wants to have the last word down there. Financial markets and cryptos are falling as a result. Precious metals, oil and defense stocks are rising.

The same thing happened back in April when Israel sent a VIP into the sky. Many YouTubers immediately called for a third world war. They were wrong, of course, because the world has rarely ended before. After a few days it was all over and the iran. Most of the missiles and drones were intercepted and neutralized.

The S&P 500 fell by just 4,46% from 11 to 19 April. That was only six trading days and the panic was in vain again. Buying / buying later was the right decision at the time. Opinions? #gold
