All very good, correct and understandable. I use the dividends to finance all my trips, for example. That would be difficult with pure reinvestment😉 because then I would always have to sell something.

•@derWoth yes but a withdrawal is nothing else. Taxes are always due. It's the psychology that prevents you from selling. The money can not continue to work for you in both cases 😅

@Fabzy yes, but consider the psychological side of the dividend: with a partial sale I have to actively part to finance the trip and can determine the amount myself. With the dividend, I automatically receive the travel budget 😉

@derWoth The dividend can be higher than your travel budget, which is why you pay more tax than you actually need. The self-determination of the time and the amount is an advantage not mentioned in the article. Since the psychology of the dividend does not work for me and I decide rationally in this case, only the transaction costs remain as of today as a downer. If you are with a neobroker, even that falls away
