Why are so many people buying this ETF, anyway? I mean, a 3% dividend yield is okay, but when you consider that there are withholding taxes that can’t be reclaimed, I wonder what the advantage is. Maybe someone can help me out?

@Schochi Dividends, dividend growth, stock price growth, etc…

@Schochi
Personally, the dividend doesn’t matter to me. I am buying for the stability (low beta) and lower draw down during last crisis

@Schochi growth + tangible cash via dividend. Don't mind tax on it

@Schochi Google how the ETF is actually taxed once your tax-free allowance has been used up.
In reality, you only pay about 18% in taxes😉

@Schochi For Dutch investors, this 15% dividend tax is refundable; for everyone else, there's dividend growth, stock price appreciation, etc.

@Schochi Without an exemption order, this is tax-advantageous precisely because of the withholding tax. The withholding tax is fully credited, but is not subject to additional taxation (including the solidarity surcharge and, if applicable, church tax). These surcharges apply only to the remaining 10% capital gains tax. It may seem like small change, but it all adds up.

@stocker_1924 Unfortunately, with this ETF, you always have to convince Gemini first that he/she/it has no clue 😁

@profit_potential_lqufk Yeah, you still have to remind them about details like the 30% exemption.
But it's getting better😜
