Dumping Hapag Lloyd with a long-term dividend horizon?

I only added Hapag Lloyd to my portfolio a few months ago, the investment case was: long-term, stable dividend payer, short-term price fluctuations secondary.

Of course, I was not completely indifferent to the share price, and so I sensed a bargain at around EUR 127 at the time due to the international crises and Trump policy; the share is now trading at just under EUR 115.

Since all analysts are currently issuing "sell" or "hold" ratings, I'm wondering whether I should sell the share again for the time being. My starting point with the share as a long-term dividend component will fade into the background for me if the share falls below EUR 100 in a few weeks' time. Do you think the bottom has now been reached and all the pessimism is already priced in, or should I sell the share and buy it again when it has fallen further? What do you think?

Nobody knows what the future holds, not you when you bought and not the community now that you ask them. If you say that your investment case was the dividend and nothing has changed in the dividend policy or in the company, why do you want to sell? For example, if you had speculated on a bounce and it was going to be a trade, you would want to limit losses if the trade didn't work out. So always ask yourself: Is your investment case still active?

Hold is a great indicator for a dividend share, by the way ;)

I would not be able to give you a recommendation. I have the share on my watchlist myself. Also a dividend strategy. However, such companies are always extremely cyclical. HL's dividends also fluctuate greatly. In my personal opinion, it is a very good addition to a dividend portfolio, but should only make up a small proportion.

If you have a very long time..... Divi next year probably lower... there are probably better dividend stocks at least at this time..... But as always: nobody here has a crystal ball
