Novo became Staro...

Emotions don't really have any place on the stock market, but the prospects for Novo $NOVO B (-0.17%) and the current situation have disappointed me too much, so I had to draw the line. I am no longer convinced by the company and I don't think it will get any easier with the competition and political pressure.

This also means that the pharmaceutical sector is completely finished for me. $NOVO B (-0.17%) was my only share in this sector. Many pharmaceutical companies are too cyclical and too unpredictable for my taste. Expiring patents, competitive pressure and political decisions create perfect chaos and high volatility. The market is particularly sensitive to this.

I think there are much better and safer bets on the market at the moment. But first I have to digest the cold meal and clear my head. Perhaps the free cash will also be used to feed my All World Core. Let's see...

After the crash at Novo, I have now got back in... seemed like a good opportunity

That would be a shame. I think pharma and biotech will perform well in 2026. Just like the last few months.
Only Novo is a toad.

@Olli68 you name it; price YTD went from +20% back to -8%;
you can, you don't have to

Bye bye, $NOVO B! 👋📉
I've pulled the ripcord. Not out of panic, but out of calculation. Eli Lilly is pulling away and Novo has announced shrinkage for 2026. I have no desire to park my capital for 12 months in a sideways phase.
Instead, I'm feeding my "moonshots" and doubling my positions here:
🤖 $NBIS (AI comeback bet)
🌊 $PNG (Defense just runs)
🎮 $TTWO (buy GTA 6 at a discount)
The rest of the cash stays on the sidelines for now. Cheers! 🥃🫡

Not a goodbye forever, but a tactical break. In the long term, the story is right, but in 2026 the price war will win out over volume growth. I'll put Novo on my watchlist and take a fresh look at the situation next year.

A regular, small savings plan will simply continue, let's see where we are in 5 years' time.

I have also thought about this and see it in a similar way to you. I also closed my position today with a loss of around 44%. Do I feel better? I would say yes, as it was the more tactical move for me to expand other opportunities in the portfolio, where I also see more potential.

I therefore see no further reason to leave the rest of my money parked in Novo.

Very good, the more people think this way, the closer the turnaround should be.
Larger pharmaceutical companies might be something for you, they have less risk due to their large product (patent) portfolios.

I had already sold $NOVO B on 28.01. and took some profit with me. It was around 10% - some people may smile about it, but for me as a beginner it was a small event :-)
