⚠️UPDATE DELISTING $HYUD (18. to 19.12.2024)⚠️

attachment

Even though it was one of my favorite stocks in the portfolio, I sold my entire position today with a heavy heart...

...The reasons for this are the DELISTING of the share from one day to the next and the continuing uncertainties about the GDR program despite research.

Even though I believed until the last minute that there were still ways to keep my position tradable, I have to realize today that it will no longer be possible.

Last state of affairs:

  • No longer tradable via Gettex today!

  • still tradable via L&S until 11:00 pm today, delisted as of 7:00 am tomorrow !

  • via Traderepublic still tradable until 22:00 today, delisted as of 8:00 tomorrow !

Since I run via Smartbroke+ my hope was still on Baader OTC...

Over-the-counter or OTC trading refers to trades that are not carried out on a traditional stock exchange, i.e. over the counter. Most OTC trades take place between two parties and are processed via a dealer network.

...but there has been no qualified statement from Baader Bank to date, which is why I ultimately liquidated my position.

This means from tomorrow 7:00 or 8:00 am (CET):

  • Any existing securities account positions can therefore no longer be traded regularly or as usual.

  • All positions have a transitional period until 06/2025, by which time they can be exchanged for original shares at a ratio of 2:1. $005380 but so far there is no provider with KRX approval (possibly Interactive Brokers).

  • Otherwise the shares will be booked out or withdrawn in June 2025, depending on the price.

Conclusion:

Hyundai remains one of my favorites in the automotive sector, even though Hyundai is much more than that, but the chapter of my favorite stock has closed for the time being and I am now looking forward to the upcoming spin-off of Boston Dynamics (approx. 06/2025) to the Nasdaq.

Great, I'm with Trade republic... Hyundai not tradable... yes, is there such a thing? How can that be? What do I do now? Change broker?

Here's another 1 coin for every share you lost. I remain invested 🐈

@Iwanowitsch Which broker do you use for your shares?

@Iwanowitsch so via Baader Bank or trading place Gettex...had mine via Smartbroker +, so also via Baader Bank or trading place among others Gettex....no longer tradable via Gettex, currently no longer tradable via Baader OTC, I called Lang&Schwarz earlier, no longer tradable from tomorrow...TR, which currently trades via L&S, will also no longer be tradable from tomorrow....

Good luck....but please no catcalls tomorrow 🫡

@SAUgut77 It looks to me as if it is normally tradable. The savings plan is also still active, no messages in the broker's mailbox either 🙈

@Iwanowitsch had no news from Smartbroker either, but that doesn't change the fact itself....

You could still buy and sell them via L&S, but I was also told on the phone earlier that it will be closed from tomorrow or 11pm today.

As I said, everyone has to decide for themselves....

@SAUgut77 still tradable at zero 🤔

@Iwanowitsch Would be highly unlikely because FZ trades via Gettex and has definitely been delisted from Gettex.

Very good stock. Only delisting on some exchanges right?

@Demas According to the press release in England and Luxembourg, however, pretty much all brokers and neobrokers in Germany are also affected. Not good news, as the Korean ordinary share is also not tradable.

IBKR does not offer trading either, FYI.
They do not have a license for the Korean stock exchange.
Does anyone have any ideas for a reasonably sensible alternative to stay invested? In msci korea, for example, you only have 2-3 percent Hyundai and a large part Samsung. Maybe another ETF with a higher share?
