Thank you for your contribution!

As a crypto beginner and NoCoiner, I am often irritated by some of the comments from totalitarian Bitcoin advocates.
They often say that you should only invest in $BTC.
However, when I listen to podcasts with experts (e.g. "Alles auf Aktien"), they also speak quite positively about $ETH.
What can I believe, or what are the pros and cons, what are the prospects for both cryptocurrencies, and which can benefit or suffer from which government regulations? ✌🏼

@Anderle I can understand that some of the comments irritate you. First of all, it is important for you to build up your knowledge in this area. First of all, get to grips with Bitcoin, understand the properties that Bitcoin has and why Bitcoin has these properties.
And then take a look at Ethereum, Solana and co. Then you will very quickly realize that no other cryptocurrency apart from Bitcoin is truly decentralized - even if that is what people are led to believe.
A founder and a paid development team of a foundation that define a roadmap and plan and carry out forks has nothing to do with a decentralized network.

And if the network is not decentralized anyway, you can ask the heretical question of why you need a blockchain at all, because all applications could be implemented much more efficiently with other databases.

Ultimately, in many cases, these are FinTech companies with their own token. This is not necessarily completely worthless, but it is fundamentally different to Bitcoin. And that is precisely the reason why many Bitcoiners react allergically when the two are lumped together :)

@Anderle My heretical comment on the post could be, for example:
"Interesting! The decentralized founder of the decentralized Etheteum Foundation is planning a decentralized roadmap for decentralized protocol changes" - if you know what I mean :D

And sorry, but "Everything on stocks" are experts in stocks and investing, but not in bitcoin and crypto :)

@stefan_21 Thank you. I will continue to read up and follow the forum.

A crypto expert was a guest on one of the last Saturday episodes. But you will still be right. Can you recommend any other crypto podcasts?
I've recently started listening regularly to the "Blocktrainer Bitcoin" podcast ✌🏼

@Anderle I can highly recommend "Der Bitcoin Podcast" by Florian Bruce-Boye and "Was Bitcoin bringt" by Niko Jilch :)
If you like reading, "Golden Future" would be a great book that conveys the characteristics of Bitcoin very well.

@Anderle Oh yes, and the "Understanding Bitcoin" podcast is also great :)

@stefan_21 Hi Stefan, I'm not the recipient of your reply, but I'd still like to thank you for your recommendations.
I have a suggestion for a contribution: Why don't you create an overview of your sources of information or sources of information recommended by you on the subject of Bitcoin, blockchain and co. That would at least help me a lot. In general, thank you for your interesting and valuable posts!

@pascals I had actually tried this before. Back then I had started, but didn't know exactly where to start and where to stop. But maybe a post would be an idea that I could add to when I find another good book, video or podcast. Thank you for the tip in any case. I'll think about something :)
