Experience with Ernst Russ

Hello everyone,

I just came across the share of $HXCK (-0.28%) again today and realized that it had been on my watch list for some time. I then took another closer look at the company and found it to be quite niche but interesting. Has anyone already had experience with the share? I'm still undecided as to whether I should get into the cyclical shipping sector. I see potential with $HXCK (-0.28%) but definitely.

Ernst Russ AG ("ER") started the year 2025 with a strong first quarter and exceeded expectations in terms of earnings by around 7%. While revenue declined by 13% year-on-year to EUR 40.9 million - mainly due to lower charter rates, one less ship and some downtime - the company almost doubled its EBIT year-on-year to EUR 40.3 million. At EUR 24.6 million, net profit after minority interests was significantly higher than in the previous year. In addition, the charter market held up better than feared (charter rates -7% yoy, but still at a historically high level), and ER's focus on feeder vessels helped to cushion the impact of the global trade crisis. With 84% of 2025 revenues already committed and a rock-solid balance sheet, ER remains in good shape. Management confirmed the outlook for the full year - no surprises, but solid execution.

@Earnus Do you know the reason why $HXCK has slumped so much in the last week? Is it just because of the Middle East conflict?

@Multibagger mainly, they had listed it and Trump's customs policy as risks in their quarterly report. The worries are now priced in for the time being
