@Dividendenopi that is a very clear and helpful "navigation" for dividends from Norway, thank you! What about withholding tax refunds for French dividends, do you have an opinion and/or experience?
••
@rolling_fireball with pleasure. I have no experience, as I don't buy French shares for precisely this reason. The procedure is time-consuming, the form is only available in French as far as I know and you also need confirmation from the depository, in this case clearstream, that you are the holder of the shares, which again involves effort and additional fees. And it takes time for them to move. Almost as bad as the Italians, I've been waiting with them for over 3 years now
••
@Dividendenopi Thank you. I asked once, even a French bank in Germany would charge around 80-90 EUR per title and per location confirmation. Good model for France...

•@Dividendenopi What do you think of Portuguese and Americans?
••
@rolling_fireball Portuguese are not even on my radar. My share in the US is just over 30%. In terms of dividends, I'd be happy to take a look at my neighbors in Austria or the Netherlands😉 You can see my portfolio and thus recognize my prey pattern

•Does the withholding tax refund also work "automatically" if I set up a custody account with DKB? Has anyone had any experience with this?
••
@Eurosammler At DKB you can set up a partial advance exemption for a fee. The usual deductions for Germany will then be made and only 15% withholding tax from Norway. The refund process for the 10% in Norway is omitted, you have to get the remaining 15% via the tax return.

•@Dividendenopi Thank you, then only the refund must be higher than the fee ;-).
Is the remaining 15% automatically reported to the tax office by DKB?
Is the remaining 15% automatically reported to the tax office by DKB?
••
@Eurosammler No, they do not appear in any annual tax statement. You actually have to calculate this on the basis of your dividend certificates and enter it in the KAP annex. And the first time you do this, you must also go to the tax office in person with all the documents and explain this. Otherwise they will simply ignore it.

•@Eurosammler As far as I know, DKB charges €30 per security.

•@Dividendenopi Thank you very much, I'll take a closer look at your instructions.
