Silver sale

$965310 (-13.78%) - silver

I think it was clear to everyone here that there would be a sell-off.

The only question was when and how severe it would be.

I must honestly admit that I would not have expected ~30% intraday.

Will we see a rebound on Monday, or will the downward trend continue?

30% in one day is really crazy. Especially with an asset like silver. But if you want a 6-8% increase every day, you have to be able to withstand 20-30% setbacks.

@der_Don absolutely, I would be interested to know how much market cap has been lost in the entire world stock today 😅
@der_Don think rather 40% today

@seppl6431 I think we're talking about trillions. If just under 300 billion was lost yesterday due to a 5% dip at $MSFT, then we can really talk about trillions today.

@der_Don such strong daily volla in precious metal gold silver partly is really a warning signal

But flagpoles are always sold off. The only question was from what level. Yesterday high at 122$.

@Multibagger Were you short today?

@der_Don was foreseeable, as erichsen always says: "flagpoles are sold off"

@seppl6431 Yes, I was

@Multibagger You cleaned up today. A 3-leverage short alone would have been enough for 100% intraday. But who knows.

You could bet on a rebound with a small lever, with the full

@paul_finesse_ Today I made twice as much as I lost on Wednesday with the ASML. But GS is not quoting and I can't get out.

Too bad, I wanted to sell this week, but I was out of the country on business.

Now I'm not selling any more ...

That doesn't happen all the time either 😅. I think the last few days clearly show that the market (all assets) is slowly reaching its limit. It can't just go up all the time

@userc811746a6d9041b6 Yes, I can only agree with you. Such a dip in one of the world's largest assets (in market cap) in just one day - that should be marked in the calendar 😂
I find over 30 crass. Today alone minus 4.6 percent in the portfolio. Another week like that and I'll only put everything in world etf. The down falls are less severe there. 😑

@Panda0404 stay relaxed. 🤓

@paul_finesse_ The last few days have been pretty bad at work and now this. It's best to turn off your cell phone, PC, etc. on days like this. 😞

@Panda0404 Yes, but days like that are a must. It trains the psyche.

@Panda0404 The year has only just begun. I would only be annoyed if I ended the year with a fat minus, but even that is fleeting.

@paul_finesse_ That's true. Today it just feels like stepping on someone lying on the floor. 😑 Well, tomorrow is a new day and soon a new month. 😀 I finished my first year last year in the red and was all the more pleased to have everything in the black now. Well, as you say, the year still has a while to go.

@Panda0404 That will be fine. It's the weekend now. To silver then first a light Munich

@Panda0404 then you could practice today what happens to your World ETF when tech goes down to a comparable extent 🤷‍♂️🙃

@Dividendenopi therefore also Pepsi and co in depot

@Dividendenopi would not only be in the World ETF, but almost certainly also in the commodities and banking sectors and possibly in the defense sector, if available. You are constantly learning. This probably also includes days like these.

@Panda0404 simply always diversify broadly - with a portfolio weighting of 5%, for example, gains are fun and losses are bearable - for silver this is already high in the asset allocation context
