Optoelectronics capacity is fully booked through nearly 2029

$LITE (-1.33%)

According to Lumentum CEO Michael Hurlston, capacity for optoelectronic products is fully booked through nearly 2029.

This is driven by strong demand from technology companies for components for AI data centers.

A potential U.S. FCC initiative regarding 3.2-T transceivers could further benefit U.S. laser suppliers.

On October 5, Rosenblatt reaffirmed its “Buy” rating for Lumentum and a price target of $1,300.

Lumentum has now risen to the No. 1 spot in my Momentum Satellite portfolio. It's my largest position.

I just sold it the other day at a small profit, simply because I bought in right around the ATH. It was obvious that things would really take off after that 😅😅

Unfortunately, I missed the train and am running late, but the next one will come 👍

What do you think of Applied Optoelectronics, anyway? I'm still on the fence about which one is better—they've both performed well, and I already have Coherent in my portfolio 👍
