@SullyL93 Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Gold ETCs are easy to trade, low spread, no storage costs, can be saved from €1.
But I'm also a big fan of coins and have my gold portion of the portfolio physically in Maple Leaf. You can always get your hands on it, you actually have the gold and don't have to rely on delivery, and you can't sell more than you have (which is actually the case with certificates). Not to be neglected, of course, is the glitter factor, which is of course more attractive than a position with a broker.
