@Daniel1212 Foreign currency has been very scarce there for some time anyway and is only available for everything, including international business (basic foodstuffs etc.), on allocation by the CBI (Central Bank of Iran). They also check every single contract for appropriate conditions etc. beforehand. No approval from the CBI for the contract = no foreign currency.

Information status: H1 2025. Situation has probably not really improved since then.🤷🏼‍♂️

We can only hope that Trump doesn't adapt the idea. It's almost like tariffs - after all, you could also use the US Navy to extort protection money. 😅
