If you have a lot of expenses, this is normal. As a "normal" employee, it is of course more difficult because there are simply fewer deductible expenses. Further training etc. can all be deducted, which of course at least reduces the tax burden.
I deduct everything, including the €2.3 for the winter service 😂

@Maddy-0 Special expenses for the property; study with ~4k p.a. and much more small stuff that adds up. I had a tax consultant do it once and then always did it myself. I then spend a good afternoon every year collecting and entering documents 😏
