China has a demographic problem, a mortgage problem and a dictatorship problem. I don't see the investment case.
Maybe for a few months' performance, but in the long term?

Interesting. Many here are afraid to invest in China -> me too. But I think that right now/in the next few months is a great entry point into a China etf. I think I also want to open a position but only when everything has normalized again over there.
I think there is great potential there due to the massive price falls.
Of course you still have the political risk there but I see China as a potential investment in the next few months.

@Chris2003 China is the second largest economic power in the world behind the USA and far ahead of all others.
Imagine if the Dow Jones fell by 50%, what great entry opportunities with high potential there would be. It is a fact that every country recovers from an economic crisis sooner or later. So you can take advantage of great entry opportunities to achieve a higher return. The politics there just play against us as shareholders, but with a long investment horizon I think you can profit well there. What is your opinion?

Hm I also had a look at the etg earlier after reading an article about it that would be the best entry point at the moment.

But I would take a distributing one as it fits my investment strategy better.

@Christianxys Xi doesn't care about anything else. What he does, he does for China and, of course, for himself. Biden is already on a cuddle course should Trump come to power, an interesting tandem will form. Even if Xi dies at some point, the global empire of China is back.

@KleinviehmachtMist yes, but if he bans something again that one of the companies in the ETF needs then the thing makes a loss...
I would just prefer the Emerging Markets, which also has China and is broadly diversified

@Christianxys He needs balance and not a Chinese Jeff Besos or Elon Musk. You can also make cash in China, but never from the front row. If you are too good, you have to slow down so that the others can catch up. If your ego is bigger than Xi's, then you have a problem. Yes, that's not conducive to making quick money, but Xi doesn't care - he wants to put his China above all else, including economically, and that will benefit you in the long term.
