Last investment in 2024

I have now decided in favor of $NESN (+4.08%) as the Group is already the market leader in the food sector and the P/E ratio is already very attractive. And since it's a Swiss company, it's easier because of the taxation. I also reached a milestone shortly before the end of the year, breaking the 20k mark. Now it's time for the holidays🥳

I wish you all happy and peaceful holidays. Maybe someone will get some shares as a Christmas present 😅

I don't think you can go too far wrong with that in the long term.
In addition, there is the L'Oreal share and I also find the pet food division very interesting with the background of the "immersion" or the drifting apart of the sexes.

@Malte123 yes, I didn't know about L'Oréal either until recently, that Nestlé is involved. And there's also an article in the latest Swissquote magazine saying that pets are becoming increasingly popular (at least in Switzerland) and the pet food business is therefore becoming more and more lucrative.

@Alumdria Since July 1, 2019, investors have not been able to trade Swiss shares on European stock exchanges. The reason for this is a failed framework agreement between Switzerland and the EU.

I'm somehow not convinced by Nestle's product range. I personally don't buy any of it in the supermarket. What about you?

@Mh3 I don't look specifically at whether it's from Nestlé or not when I go shopping. Many people boycott the company because they can't reconcile it with their morals. However, it is almost impossible to avoid this brand, as Nestlé produces an extremely large amount of food. It is also one of the biggest food companies in the world.

@Alumdria Nestlé is and remains a big player and a top pick, I agree. As an investor, however, I do look at whether the brands and products are well positioned in the supermarkets. Nestle has a lot of unhealthy stuff and is not in tune with the times. I think Unilever is better positioned in the food sector. I myself would bet on p&g in the consumer staples sector.

@Mh3 so I often buy maggi, most recently the fire department soup 😂 Joking aside, Nestle is the world market leader in some product categories, e.g. coffee, pet food, plus a 20% share of LOreal.
