The order to BYD$1211 (+1.05%) comprises 64 electric 12-meter buses and nine electric 15-meter buses.
The companies have not yet provided any information on the technical design of the vehicles.
However, both sides already know each other well: EBS already put 43 electric BYD buses into operation as recently as September 2025 - in the Haaglanden-Streek concession area.
Once in service at EBS, the newly ordered vehicles will operate under the "Reizen door Zeeland" label - the brand under which EBS will offer local public transport in the province of Zeeland.

EBS already has more battery buses in operation than combustion buses: "The majority of the fleet now consists of zero-emission buses," says the company.
More than 500 vehicles are in operation in the Haaglanden, IJssel-Vecht, Zaanstreek-Waterland and Voorne-Putten & Rozenburg concession areas and, from 2026, also in Zeeland.
We remember: in 2023, EBS ordered 193 e-buses from VDL alone. At the time, this was the largest e-bus order in VDL's history.
