40€ thanks to Trade Republic Saveback

Since the beginning of June, I have been using the Trade Republic card for almost all payments in order to receive 1% cashback in the form of shares "for free". So far I've collected €40. On top of that I get another 100€ through round up. In contrast to Saveback, you pay this part yourself by rounding up card payments.

I have therefore invested a total of €140 in Hannover Re shares ($HNR1 (+0.53%) ). I would like to use the dividends to finance my vacation in the future :D

Are you still investing properly or is this your entire financial plan to spend €4,000 every time so that €140 can be converted into shares?

@Soprano i recently moved house and therefore had higher expenses and, as i said, i pay almost everything except the rent by card. that adds up to quite a lot 😅

Taking something on the side without having other disadvantages is not wrong, but TR is history due to the modest support and the BYD chaos. My depot is currently moving 😉

@TradingHase i am also dissatisfied and have already transferred a large part to N26. at TR i only have the savings plans that are not (yet) offered at N26. at TR the spread is always so big and you feel like you are 1-2% in the red immediately after executing the savings plan 🙈

@ynnxs I have not actively observed a difference in the spread so far. I once compared a few shares with SC and the spreads were identical. I can't tell yet with Zero, I'm still testing.

@TradingHase at N26 the spread is apparently 0 because I once made a test trade. I bought Mastercard for €10 and sold it again immediately. I only paid 1 cent third-party costs when buying and another 1 cent when selling.

@ynnxs I can hardly imagine that there is no spread. That would be traders paradise 😉

@TradingHase i think they earn more from banking fees than from investing. they advertise with "truly free investing"

@ynnxs I'm curious, feel free to report again 👍🏼

@trade_commander_2498 Nice! I'll adjust the multiplier for the round up in the future too :)

@trade_commander_2498 I have also set my round up to "10x". Shopping should hurt 😅 ... and the savings rate should be happy

@JaqenH nice 🚀

Include standing orders such as rent in the program.

@Mh391 unfortunately not. only "real" card payments, i.e. no transfers or money withdrawals 🙈

But it's still more of a short vacation. 😁

@Epi the dividend will be reinvested until there is a significant dividend income. this is only the result of 3 months so far and even with that i already exceed the savings rate of most people my age :)
when i have finished my studies and earn more i will increase my savings rate. then i can also increase the multiplier in the roundup, but if i were to do that now, the hanover return would make up too high a proportion ^^

@ynnxs Sounds like a plan.
However, comparing yourself with your peer group is not a good plan. 😬

@Epi i just wanted to explain why i don't invest more money. the peer group is relevant because income and starting capital can be very different ;)
