Weekly update

Hi,

i've just started the portfolio. I plan to put at least 50 euros every month but if i ll have more then i will try to invest as much as possible.

This is my first weekly update, a series i ll try to do every saturday. As we can see it has been quite a stable week especially thanks to $CSPX (-0.13%) which is the main stock of my portfolio and it hasn't really moved. The stock who grow more has been $JPM (+0.72%) while the worst one has been $KO (-0.27%)

This week i also have received my first dividend from $O (-0.32%) , next one should arrive on the 30th of june from $PEP (+0.26%) .

For now that's all, if you have questions or advices feel free to say anything.

Greetings

That portfolio is useless with so many positions and only this amount of money for the beginning, drop everything in the S&P 500 or an all world etf and when u have build a good core like 5-10k you can add other stocks

@capital_guru_2461 First of all thanks for the comment. My thought was, thanks to a Pac, to add monthly some capital to all the stocks and ETF i already bought but seems like It isn't the rightest choice. Thas for the adviceee

Hello. Meanwhile, congratulations on the portfolio because even if it is small, you have to start somewhere ✌🏻

Regarding positions, the advice I can give you is to pay attention to commissions, because many platforms have buying commissions of 1 or 2 euros, and spending it to buy 4 euros of a stock is not very profitable!

I personally like the choice of stocks and ETFs, so what I suggest is not to add more (at least for now that the capital is still limited) and to put the 50 euros monthly in only one position at a time of the ones you have at the moment!

@Frasgaa Hi! Thank you for taking the time! I became aware of the commissions when I made the first 50€ purchase all on the sp500, in fact since then I have only done accumulation plans which are free. The 5€ per share I put it that way.
Thank you very much then for the final advice, this month I will put 100€ probably, do I go on the two ETFs?
Thank you again

@Niccocesa Figurati ahahah, however I personally would tell you to focus on ETFs especially in the beginning, then when the capital starts to be important ( the right time is subjective based on everyone's savings capacity, income, age and many other things) I would start to consider stocks!

Other advice I give you is also not to invest month to month if the shares are still small, since you are just starting out and the time horizon is long you can also afford to make quarterly entries with a larger sum, the market is volatile especially at this time so maybe even psychologically you feel like you are missing a golden opportunity if you don't buy immediately after a market reversal, but in reality in the long run it is irrelevant!

I advise you to reinvest everything on 1-2 etf maximum between msci world, nasdaq100 and sp500, i prefer the last 2, possibly synthetic etf, with low ter (you should find something on 0.25 or even less) accumulation, dividends if you have such a small capital slow you down because they are taxed and what you reinvest from dividends maybe not even buy you 1 whole stock, for 4-5 years in my opinion you have to put your mind at rest, make a pac on 1-2 etf index (or 2-3 single stocks if you are a phenomenon and you know those will do very well). Among the indexes even the Dax can fit, all others besides these 4 I said are junk.

Hi! Thank you very much for the advice. You are not the only one who has told me these things and in fact I have decided that from now on I will invest about 80% of the capital on ETFs and the remaining 20 on some individual stocks that assess have potential. I hope that way it goes better.
While I'm at it I'll also ask you, what do you think about active funds? Because I have (larger) sums there and as much as the return is quite high the fees are also high, so I'm a bit torn
