Allianz or Munich Re?

Where do you currently see (even) more potential?

$ALV (-0.92%) or $MUV2 (-0.42%) ?

Would like to have another German (European?) insurer with a good dividend in the portfolio in the longer term.

Both are equally interesting.
Munich RE is a real dividend aristocrat. It is the largest reinsurer in the world. In terms of share price and dividend, it is definitely the better choice ahead of Hannover Re or Swiss RE.
Allianz, the world's largest insurer, has had an average annual share price performance of 8.7 percent in recent years (even 14.1 % per year when dividends are included)
So both belong in every dividend portfolio.

@ThomasHH would combining Munich Re and Hannover Re be good? Or overkill?
